The exhibitions were amazing. Thank you to the parents who participated as panelists. Thank you all who came to our student-led night. I know you were not disappointed and found that the effort for the sake of your children is well worth the time. That is love. We had many special guests as panelists for the exhibitions and they all left pleased to know that students can think deeply, problem solve and take initiative at The Foundation Academy. I know you will also love the Middle School show on the 12th of February. See you there. "Choose My instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold..." Proverbs 7:10

TFA Presentations "Why Change?" has turned out to be a very good question for deep inquiry and creativity. Exhibition Presentations during Student Led Conferences, complete with song and pantomime, mummy and kiln, books and biomes, and matrices as animations, clearly demonstrated that life means change and change is essential to genuine living. --KLSH

Mrs. Clifford’s science class is continuing the study of water. Based on a project created by the Stevens Institute of Technology, the students are building their own water purification units. Working in groups of four, the students need to discover a way to change aluminum foil, plastic wrap, aluminum pie pans, straws, plastic cups, coffee cups and/or duct tape into a functioning purifying unit. Each material has been assigned a cost. The students ordered their original supplies at that given cost. Extra materials are charged an increased price of fifty percent. Returned materials only received fifty percent credit. Not only the unit needs to be functioning, it will be rated based on the amount of St Johns River water cleaned and the cost of the unit. There is serious competition going. Next week, we’ll know the winner.
