The Losong Village Losong is a village near Kuala Terengganu. It is not only famous for its koropok, it is where the state museum is. The huge museum complex is on a hill. It is special because it is built among the stilt houses of a Malay village. The museum covers on area of 27 hectares and looks like a collection of Terengganu Malay homes. Inside the museum, you can find lots of historical items discoverd in Terengganu. They include kain songket, kain lumar, antique keris and spears plus items belonging to the royalty. These items are centuries old. At the gallery, you can learn about the local cottage industries such as brassware making. Outside the museum is a park-like area with signboards. These signboards stand next to each house or palace. Most of these buildings are brought from elsewhere in the state and rebuilt here. You can also see how a fisherman’s house looked like years ago. Next to the house are canoes and fishing boats. The cool breeze from the nearby river makes your visit to the museum complete. So, have a nice day when you visit the Losong Village in Kuala Terengganu. -----End Of The Story----Romero Ranulfo Maniam JR. (6H)
