The Critical Thomist Obedience Vow By Anthony J. Fejfar, B.A., J.D., Esq., Coif © Copyright 2009 by Anthony J. Fejfar Hatha Yoga, and other Spiritual Traditions, state that if you wish to develop Spiritual Gifts, such as the Yoga Siddhas, you must limit yourself with certain vows. In the West, those in religious life have traditionally taken an obedience vow. I have taken the following Obedience Vow, which is consistent with Critical Thomism: I vow obedience to the Transcendental Precepts, of: 1. Be Attentive 2. Be Intelligent 3. Be Reasonable 4. Be Responsible 5. Be Loving 6. Be Compassionate The foregoing obedience vow is consistent with the requirement that a Critical Thomist not follow the Base Emotions, but instead, must achieve Cognitive Self-Transcendence.
