Comments Our leadership has suffered. We have not chosen a leader as of yet. That is not really that important, but if this is the case we all need to lead together. We have had no discussion of how we will accomplish our goals. We have no strategy in our weekly assignments. We just kind of play it by ear. We are conscious of our goals, but we need to discuss this and how we will accomplish them. I don’t see any real tension, but imagine it could just not be expressed. It seems like we are a little too relaxed. We do not communicate enough. Our communications need to be more frequent and timely. We need to have a little more constructive criticism from our members. There are many areas we need to improve on--it seems we need an extra little push to get this accomplished The team participation could have been more balanced. Also there needs to be much more of it.

Description of leadership traits: Leadership—There is effective leadership being exhibited. The team is kept focused and effective by an individual or group of individuals. Methods and Procedures—The group is conscious of it’s own operations. The members have taken the time to discuss processes-- how the team will achieve its goals. Goals—The team has a clear set of goals and exhibits a unity of purpose.

Atmosphere—The team atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. There are no obvious tensions and the working atmosphere is effective and one of which the members are interested in and involved in. Communication—Regular and frequent discussion is practiced between all of the team members, as well as other pertinent forms of interaction. Expression—Members are able to express themselves freely, including criticisms of their fellow team members. Participation—There is equal participation from all of the team members. This is important to a team, it ensures everyone’s ideas are represented, and also keeps the work load evenly distributed.

Note to my team: This is, I know, a dismal evaluation. However, it is only the mid-term evaluation. The important one is the last one. We need to improve in all areas if we want to succeed. We all do right? We’ve come too far to fail now. Let’s turn this thing around and have some fun while we’re doing it!
