Task-based activities 1. Slang: Cockney English The pupils get a list of words, and they have to underline the words they’ve heard during the video-extract out of the film: Austin Powers Goldmember. We explain them what Cockney English is. Now they have to link the slang-words to their English equivalents. 2. Passive Pupils are divided into groups of four. Every group-member gets a sheet of paper with three different newspaper (or magazine) articles on it. Each group member gets a different sheet with different articles (A-B-C-D).
