New U.S. Embassy Procedures for Nonimmigrant Visa Applications The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has established a new schedule for receiving nonimmigrant visa applications for which personal interviews are required. In general, all non-Saudis who have not traveled to the U.S. in the past two years with a multiple entry nonimmigrant visa require a personal interview. Effective immediately, and beginning Monday May 14, all applications from non-Saudis will be accepted at the Embassy on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday only between 8 AM and 10 AM. All non-Saudis with valid Saudi exit-reentry visas who have traveled to the U.S. in the past two years with a multiple entry visa and all Saudi citizens applying for any kind of nonimmigrant visa are encouraged now to submit their applications through Embassy—designated travel agents and courier companies. Saudi citizens are reminded that they are not usually required to be interviewed and that they are eligible for two-year multiple entry nonimmigrant visas.
