Effective immediately, the Embassy Consular Section is establishing a new schedulelor nonimmigrant visa applications that require a personal interview. All nonimmigrant visa applicants require a personal interview except for Saudi citizens and resident third country nationals (TCNs) who have traveled to the US within the last 2 years on a multiple entry nonimmigrant visa. In addition, consular officers may request that a Saudi citizen or a resident TCN with recent US travel appear for an interview to clarify his/her qualifications for a visa. The new schedule for nonimmigrant visa applications requiring a personal interview is: Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays between 08:00 AM and 10:00 AM. (Previously, nonimmigrant visa applications were also accepted on Tuesdays.) In addition, beginning in late May, the Consular Section will be accepting nonimmigrant visa applications from Saudi citizens and resident TCNs who have traveled to the US during the last two years with a multiple entry nonimmigrant visa only through a group of selected travel agencies/courier sen-ices with which the Embassy has signed Memorandums of Understanding. As of June 1, 2001, it will be mandatory for Saudi citizens and resident TCNs characterized in the preceding sentence to use one of Embassy's designated travel agencies/courier services. The designated travel agencies/courier services are: ACE Travel AL TAYYAR Travel FIFA/STAR Travel KANOO Holidays SNAS/ DHL/GREEN WINGS Travel
