LIFT UP YOUR HEADS to the coming King; Bow before Him and adore Him, sing To His majesty, let your praises be Pure and holy, giving glory To the King of kings.

L: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen.

L: Grace to you and peace from God our Father

JESUS, WE ENTHRONE YOU, We proclaim You our King. Standing here in the midst of us, We raise You up with our praise.

And as we worship, build a throne, And as we worship, build a throne, And as we worship, build a throne: Come, Lord Jesus, and take Your place. (REPEAT ALL)

CONFESSION OF SIN L: Let us pray: C: God of all mercy and consolation, come to the aid of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that, attentive to your Word, we may confess our sins, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

GOD OF GRACE, I turn my face To You, I cannot hide; My nakedness, my shame, my guilt, Are all before Your eyes. Strivings and all anguished dreams In rags lie at my feet, And only grace provides the way For me to stand complete.

And Your grace clothes me inrighteousness, And Your mercy covers me in love. Your life adorns and beautifies, I stand complete in You.

ABSOLUTION L: Almighty God, in his mercy, has given his Son to die for us and, for his sake, forgives and liberates us from our sins and gives us new life with Christ. C. Amen

L: Let us not only thank God for the mercy he showed us, but praise him PSALM 145

Left: I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Right: Every day I will bless you, and praise your name forever and ever. Left: Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; his greatness is unsearchable.

Right: The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. Left: The LORD is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made. Right: All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD, and all your faithful shall bless you. Left: They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and tell of your power,

Right: to make known to all people your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Left: Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. Right: The LORD is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds. Left: The LORD upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down. All: Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; his greatness is unsearchable.

SEEK YE FIRST the kingdom of God And His righteousness, And all these things shall be added unto you, Hallelu, hallelujah!

We shall not live by bread alone, But by every word That proceeds from the mouth of God, Hallelu, hallelujah!

Ask and it shall be given unto you, Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you, Hallelu, hallelujah!

Let your light so shine before men That they may see your good works And glorify your Father in heaven, Hallelu, hallelujah!

First Reading: Reader: The first lesson is from Zechariah 9:9-12 9 Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

10 I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the war-horses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. 11 As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.

12 Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you. The reader: This is the word of the Lord. C: Thanks be to God.

The Second reading: Reader: The second lesson is from Romans 7:15-25 15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me

18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. 20Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 21So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22For in my inner being I delight in God's law; 23but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.

24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25Thanks be to God- through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

The reader: This is the word of the Lord C: Thanks be to God

IN HEAVENLY ARMOUR we’ll enter the land, The battle belongs to the Lord. No weapon that’s fashioned against us will stand, The battle belongs to the Lord. And we sing glory, honour, Power and strength to the Lord. We sing glory, honour, Power and strength to the Lord.

When the power of darkness comes in like a flood, The battle belongs to the Lord. He’s raised up a standard, the power of His blood, The battle belongs to the Lord. And we sing glory, honour, Power and strength to the Lord. We sing glory, honour, Power and strength to the Lord.

When your enemy presses in hard, do not fear, The battle belongs to the Lord. Take courage, my friend, your redemption is near. The battle belongs to the Lord. And we sing glory, honour, Power and strength to the Lord. We sing glory, honour, Power and strength to the Lord.

Let us all rise to listen to the Gospel: P: The Gospel for the day is found in Matthew 11:25-30 C: Glory To You O Lord: 25At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.

27"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

P: Here ends the reading of the Gospel. C: Praise to you, O Christ. Please be seated:

THE GOSPEL Matthew 11:25-30

Life is not at all that bad my friend, mmm.... If you believe in yourself. If you believe there's someone, who walks through life with you. You'll never be alone, Just learn to reach out and open your heart. Lift up your hands to God, and He'll show you the way. And He said,"Cast your burdens upon me, Those who are heavily laden. Come to me all of you who are tired of carrying heavy loads. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and My burden is light. Come to Me and I will give you rest."

When you feel the world is tumbling down on you. And you have no one that you can hold on to. Just face the rising sun and you'll see hope. And there's no need to run. Lift up your hands to God. And He'll make you feel alright. And He said,"Cast your burdens upon me, Those who are heavily laden. Come to me all of you who are tired of carrying heavy loads. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and My burden is light. Come to Me and I will give you rest."

Let us all stand up confess our faith together in the words of the Apostles’ Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again.

He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, The holy catholic Church, The communion of saints, The forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, And the life everlasting. Amen.

THE PRAYER OF THE CHURCH ( Please be seated)

( The Liturgist says the prayer and for every petition, the congregation responds: Hear our prayers. )

We lift our voices, we lift our hands, we lift our lives they are Yours, we are an offering; Lord, use our voices, Lord, use our hands, Lord, use our lives they are Yours, we are an offering. (Last time: We are an offering….)

All that we have, all that we are, all that we hope to be we give to You, we give to You. (Repeat 1st verse)

L: Let us pray. Merciful God, C: You have created all things, and all things belong to You. We give you thanks for all your good provision for us, and we offer with thanks this money as signs of recognition that all we are and all that we have belong to You, and we are only your stewards on earth. Receive these gifts and bless them for your kingdom’s purposes. And bless us abundantly as we seek to serve you in caring each other and redeeming the earth through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

I come with joy to meet my Lord, forgiven, loved, and free,in awe and wonder to recall his life laid down for me. I come with Christians far and near to find, as all are fed, the new community of love in Christ's communion bread.

As Christ breaks bread and bids us share, each proud division ends. That love that made us makes us one, and strangers now are friends.

Please all rise: Great Thanksgiving L: The Lord be with you. C: And also with you. L: Lift up your hearts. C: We lift them to the Lord. L: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. C: It is right to give God thanks and praise.

L: It is indeed right to give you thanks and praise. It is our duty and our joy that we should at all times and in all places offer thanks and praise to you, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us, strengthen us, lead us, and empower us, as we proclaim the Gospel to all nations. Therefore, with the angels of heaven, and with your Church in heaven and on earth, we praise your name and join their unending hymn:

Sanctus Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts The whole earth is full of his glory The whole earth is full of his glory The whole earth is full of his glory Holy is the Lord!

You are indeed holy, O God. You are the Source of all goodness, life and light. You have brought life out of death, light out of darkness, reconciliation with God out of rejection and hatred of his Christ.

In the night when he was betrayed, Our Lord Jesus took bread; He gave thanks, broke it And gave it to his disciples, Saying, Take and eat; This is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.

Again after supper, he took the cup and gave thanks, And gave it for them all to drink, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me.

We remember and we thank you. We also thank you for the promise and the giving of your Spirit to be with us as Comforter and Counselor. Come to us now, Spirit of our Risen Lord, abide with us; fill us anew with life and power; inhabit your people, and make us your living temple. Bring forth the life and serving of Jesus in us, among us, and through us. Open our eyes to see, our minds to know, our hearts to receive all that you have for us. C: AMEN! COME, HOLY SPIRIT!

Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours, now and forever. Amen

Peace L: May the Peace of the Lord be with you! C: And also with you! L: Let us greet each other with the peace of the Lord. Distribution The body of Christ given for you. The blood of Christ shed for you.

BROKEN FOR ME, broken for you, The body of Jesus, broken for you. He offered His body, He poured out His soul; Jesus was broken, that we might be whole: BROKEN FOR ME, broken for you, The body of Jesus, broken for you.

Come to My table and with Me dine; Eat of My bread and drink of My wine. BROKEN FOR ME, broken for you, The body of Jesus, broken for you.

This is My body given for you; Eat it remembering I died for you. . BROKEN FOR ME, broken for you,

The body of Jesus, broken for you.

This is My blood I shed for you; For your forgiveness, making you new. BROKEN FOR ME, broken for you, The body of Jesus, broken for you.

L: Let us pray….Lord, we give you thanks that you have refreshed us in our journey through life with this bread and wine, the food of heaven given to us in Jesus Christ. We pray that you would strengthen us, through his life in us, in faith toward you, and in love toward one another and the world around us; for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ. C: Amen.
