Matthew 5:17-19, 17“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I didn't come to destroy them, but to fulfill them. 18For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not one letter or one stroke of a letter will disappear from the Law until everything has been accomplished. 19So whoever sets aside one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does them and teaches

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. (1 John 3:5)

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. (John 15:10)

“You shall therefore love the Lord your God, and always keep His

It is in the OT that Moses wrote, "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today

Paul wrote: "The commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet'; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, 'Love your neighbor as yourself'" (Romans 13:9, New Revised Standard Version).

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:16-17).

"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren," wrote the apostle John. "He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him" (1 John 3:14-15).

Exodus 20:1-17 Ten Commandments

1Then God spoke all these words, saying,

2“I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

3“You shall have no other gods besides me.

4“You shall not make for yourselves an idol, or any likeness of

11For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them, and he rested on the seventh day. Therefore, the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Let us all stand up confess our faith together in the words of the Apostles’ Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again.

He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, The holy catholic Church, The communion of saints, The forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, And the life everlasting. Amen.

THE PRAYER OF THE CHURCH ( Please be seated) L: Lord God, we thank and praise you for your never-ending love for us. Through Jesus Christ you have saved us and set us free from the penalty and power of sin. Let all creation give you glory. C: Glory and praise belong to the Lord! ( The Liturgist says the prayer and for every petition, the congregation responds: Hear our prayer. )

We give you thanks for all your good provision for us, and we offer with thanks this money as signs of recognition that all we are and all that we have belong to You, and we are only your stewards on earth. Receive these gifts and bless them for your kingdom’s purposes. And bless us abundantly as we seek to serve you in caring each other and redeeming the earth through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Come to the table of mercy, prepared with the wine and the bread. All who are hungry and thirsty, come and your souls will be fed.

Please all rise: Great Thanksgiving L: The Lord be with you. C: And also with you. L: Lift up your hearts. C: We lift them to the Lord. L: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. C: It is right to give God thanks and praise.

L: It is indeed right to give you thanks and praise. It is our duty and our joy that we should at all times and in all places offer thanks and praise to you, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us, strengthen us, lead us, and empower us, as we proclaim the Gospel to all nations. Therefore, with the angels of heaven, and with your Church in heaven and on earth, we praise your name and join their unending hymn:

Sanctus Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts The whole earth is full of his glory The whole earth is full of his glory The whole earth is full of his glory Holy is the Lord!

You are indeed holy, O God. You are the Source of all goodness, life and light. You have brought life out of death, light out of darkness, reconciliation with God out of rejection and hatred of his Christ.

In the night when he was betrayed, Our Lord Jesus took bread; He gave thanks, broke it And gave it to his disciples, Saying, Take and eat; This is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.

Again after supper, he took the cup and gave thanks, And gave it for them all to drink, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me.

We remember and we thank you. We also thank you for the promise and the giving of your Spirit to be with us as Comforter and Counselor. Come to us now, Spirit of our Risen Lord, abide with us; fill us anew with life and power; inhabit your people, and make us your living temple. Bring forth the life and serving of Jesus in us, among us, and through us. Open our eyes to see, our minds to know, our hearts to receive all that you have for us. C: AMEN! COME, HOLY SPIRIT!

Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours, now and forever. Amen

Peace L: May the Peace of the Lord be with you! C: And also with you! L: Let us greet each other with the peace of the Lord. Distribution The body of Christ given for you. The blood of Christ shed for you.

A NEW COMMANDMENT I give unto you, That you love one another As I have loved you, That you love one another

By this shall all men know That you are My disciples, If you have love one for another. By this shall all men know That you are My disciples,

L: Let us pray….Lord, we give you thanks that you have refreshed us in our journey through life with this bread and wine, the food of heaven given to us in Jesus Christ. We pray that you would strengthen us, through his life in us, in faith toward you, and in love toward one another and the world around us; for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ. C: Amen.

THE BENEDICTION L: The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord look upon you with favor, and give you peace.

AH LORD GOD, Thou hast made the heavens And the earth by Thy great power. Ah Lord God, Thou hast made the heavens And the earth by Thine outstretched arm.

Nothing is too difficult for Thee, Nothing is too difficult for Thee. O great and mighty God, Great in counsel and mighty in deed, Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing, Nothing is too difficult for Thee.

L: Go in peace and share the Good News! C: Christ is risen! Thanks be to God!
