4. Turn right side out; press. 5. Stuff watermelon lightly with fiberfill. Whipstitch opening edges together.
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Fleece and Felt NOTIONS: 18” or 20” Vine Wreath, Polyester Fiberfill, Seasonal Artificial Leaves, Glue Gun and Twelve ½” Buttons
6. Sew buttons at markings to each watermelon, indenting watermelon slightly.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Staystitch inner curve of each Outer Section 1 section. 7. Gather lower edge of each Petal 3 section.
2. Pin lower edge of each Inner Section 2 to one outer section, having upper edges even and clipping outer section where necessary. Stitch.
3. For watermelon, pin two stitched sections together. Stitch along outer edges, leaving an opening for turning.
8. Pin six petals to each Center Section 4, matching small circles, having raw edges even and overlapping sides as desired; baste. Stitch between two small circles, as shown.
9. Stitch each remaining center section between two corresponding small circles, as shown.
10. For each flower, pin one center section to each center section with petals. Stitch leaving open between two small circles.
11. Turn right side out, turning out petals; press. 12. Stuff center of flower lightly with fiberfill. Turn in opening edges along stitching; Slipstitch edges together. YOU’RE FINISHED, ENJOY!
13. Glue or sew watermelon sections and flowers to wreath, as desired or following photograph on first page.
14. Cut stems of seasonal flowers to assorted lengths between 4” and 9”. Insert stems into wreath as desired; glue in place, if desired.
