Use any size hook to obtain the gauge. Ch 41. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; turn – 40 sc. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn. Row 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, skip next 2 sc, * (sc, ch 3, 2 dc) all in next sc, skip next 2 sc; rep from * to last sc; sc in last sc; turn. Row 4: * Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, (sc, ch 3, 2 dc) all in next ch-3 sp; rep from * to last ch-3 sp; sc in ch-3 sp; turn. Rep Row 4 until 7" from beg; place a marker at each end of last row. Continue in pat until 19" from beg. Fasten off. Strap: Ch 7. Row 1: 2 Dc in 4th ch from hook, skip 2 ch, sc in last ch; turn. Row 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, sc in ch-3 sp; turn.
