Idea/Approach Details MINISTRY CATEGORY : Ministry of Road Transport and Highways PROBLEM CODE : #MRT6 PROBLEM STATEMENT : Accident Prone Spots need to be identified so that preventive measure may be taken up. This application will enable Road Users to send an SMS alert in regard to location of Accident Spot/ Bad Condition of Roads/ Unauthorized Median Cut etc. to the Highway Maintenance Authority where details along with mobile number of Office In-charge shall be available NH-wise. The Application shall also ensure the communication to the Road User about the Action Taken by the Highway Maintenance Authority. As long as the concern remain unaddressed by Highway Maintenance Authority, the states shall remain ‘Action not Taken’ against the sent SMS alert for information of General Public.

Designing Identification of Accident Prone Spots and their reporting to the concerned highway Authority

All Vehicles travelling on National and State Highways all over the country is to be fixed with sensors and devices that can detect the accurate location through GPS and damage on the roads. The data from the vehicle is continuously sent to a server and the data is monitored there. If a damage is detected the location and the extent of damage is automatically measured and sent to the corresponding authorities. The authorities in turn should repair the damage and intimate the user via SMS through phone in a short period of time. TECHNOLOGY STACK:    

Pic Microcontroller - All sensor and devices control the this unit. GSM/GPS - GSM Information send the Authority. / GPS - If the road damage spot identifying. Video sensor - If the road damage capture the road any damages send the controller. Wide Range Sensor – If the sensor using road damage identifying, send to controller.

 Google firebase –Creating the Server.
