Misconceptions about Manglik Dosha

here are many problems in getting married. Nowadays getting married in the prescribed age has become very rare. There are a lot of reasons for this. The major problem is called as “Mars Dosha” or “Manglik”. There is nothing wrong in being a Manglik. Mangliks are normal people. Most importantly, Mangliks should realize that being a Manglik is not a matter to be afraid of; it is not the end of the world for them. Matters pertaining to the intensity of the Manglik Dosha and its cancellation play major roles and these are to be studied deeply. Atharva Veda has mentioned a lot about the Manglik Dosha and the remedies for overcoming the Manglik Dosha. One of the biggest misconceptions and fears in the Hindu society with respect to marriage is the presence of Mars Dosha or Kuja Dosha in the horoscope. Mars Dosha occurs, when Mars is placed in the ascendant, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of the natal chart. However, the Atharva Veda includes the 2nd house also in the Mangal Dosha list. Now days a lot of fake astrologers have entered in the field. They are not so well learned scholars of astrology. They have done a lot of misconceptions in all aspects of astrology. That too particularly, they have done a lot of misconceptions about Mars. They have done a lot of misconceptions in married life and getting marriage. Some of the most common misconceptions about the planet Mars is that if a person is born on a Tuesday, then he is said to be a Manglik or Mars-dominated native. But it is not true. Another misconception is “double Manglik Dosha”, which is a term being used by many astrologers. There is no such term as “Double Manglik Dosha”, which refers to Mars being in any of the above mentioned houses and also in its own sign or in exaltation. Atharva Veda, be on the contrary, Mars in own house or exaltation will considerably reduce the ill effects of the Manglik Dosha. The most famous misconception about being a Manglik is that if he/she is married to a non-Manglik, then the spouse is bound to die. The above can be seen in a few cases, where Mars is severely afflicted; overall strength of the horoscope also needs to be checked according to the Atharva Veda techniques.

Manglik Dosha is primarily considered at the time of marriage. Selvam Siddhar has interpreted all the nesesary factors and solutions for the modern world. The problems have been classified into two major categories. The first one is fertility and the other one is the proper raising of children. Atharva Vedic Astrology delves heavily into these subjects. Atharva Veda has further classified children in three various ways. They are Sisu, Balaka or Balaki), and Tharuna or Tharuni. Balaka is masculine gender and Balaki is feminine gender. The factors that decide them are the position of the planets in a child’s birth chart (horoscope). By properly analyzing the position of the planets one can determine the spiritual salvation of the problems faced by a child. The horoscope must be prepared according to the Atharva Vedic techniques and to be read in the Atharva Vedic standard. Then Atarva Vedic rituals must be performed under the guidance of a learned Atharva Vedic scholar. By doing so one can get a peaceful spiritual salvation for their child’s problems. The optimal development of children is vital to society and so it is important to understand the social, cognitive, emotional, and educational development of children. There are also some theories that seek to describe the sequence of states that comprise child development. Attachment Theory, which originates in the work of Atharva Veda, is a psychological, evolutionary, and ethological theory that provides a descriptive and

Attachment Theorists consider children to have a need for a secure relationship with adult caregivers, without which normal social and emotional development will not occur. feel very happy to share my thoughts and ideas on Spirituality in this issue also. I am very proud to be blessed by the Almighty and Swamiji to share my thoughts and ideas on Spirituality. During the past issues, we discussed a lot about spirituality taught by many saints and monks of different religions. In this issue, we will see the difference between Spirituality and religion. Over the years, some of the people used their free will and chose to become different. Some became too busy to pray and did not want to live the way that the Creator has given to them. Some used their free will and chose to pray and live in a different way. Many of them traveled beyond their given home. Now we have many new people and many ways to pray and live. From the different cultures that evolved in the different lands, come with different religions and different forms of spirituality. In addition, they seem so different. Moreover, we wonder why, if there is one God, are there so many religions? For many people spirituality is troublesome. They do not know what to believe in because there are so many different beliefs. They do not know what religion is the best because there are so many. Moreover, many people who want to turn their lives around struggle with spiritual concepts because they have an aversion to religion. Spirituality is not the same as religion. Religion is not spirituality. You do not have to be religious to be spiritual. Moreover, being religious does not make you spiritual. Going to a place of worship often and donating

a portion of your income does not make you spiritual. It makes you a religious follower but not necessarily a religious person. How can that be? Let me offer some ideas that religion and spirituality are two completely different and separate things. Spirituality is natural. We all have it, whether we know it or practice it, it is in us. Moreover, it really is a rather simple thing. We want to be happy and live a “good” life. To have friends and be social and have a special someone. We want to be “good” and do the right things. However, we have some very deep questions. What happens when I die? Is there a God and who is it? How should I pray to this God? How did we get here? These questions are usually overwhelming for many people. Moreover, human nature is to turn to an authority to tell us the answers. That is the purpose of and the origin of religion. Religion is a man made, culture based doctrine that guides its people in the practice of spirituality. Religion is a good thing that in some cases has had bad consequences on some individual’s spirituality. Not because religion is bad, but because it is being applied in a bad way. Because religion is man made and culture based, it naturally has some of the rules and taboos of that particular culture built into it. Unfortunately, for some, many

cultures have chosen to use the fear of God to enforce the man made rules of that culture. In addition, some wonder, how can there be a loving God when so many terrible things happen to some people. Creator gave us free will. No one, no thing, can totally control that which has free will. Although Creator has a great plan for us to be happy, healthy, and good people, He has no control over it. If we chose to follow this great plan, our lives can be wonderful. However, there can be sadness, pain, or misfortune even if we follow a good spiritual plan. Because that is the flow of life. Things happen in lives that are not always good. Many people chose not to follow a spiritual path and do things as they wish. Moreover, while those people walk through life, they cause an imbalance that affects the web of life and all living things. It does not mean they are bad people. Though some of them choose to be bad and know better, many do not know any better. Many do not even have a true understanding of goodness or spirituality. Many were never taught. Many had reason to doubt what they were taught. You can be a spiritual person without being religious. You only need to have faith that there is some super human power out there. Pray to that super human power for guidance and strength, faith and protection, help and wisdom. You need not pray in some specific Siddhi Times USA 9

way. Only quiet your thoughts and focus on praying. May be you will think your prayers. Maybe you will say them aloud. May be you will read them from a book or collection. Try to be humble and focus more on prayer for goodness and for other people. Do not pray for great things for yourself but pray only for guidance in living in a good way. Do not Pray for yourself but pray for all. Religion is an institution established by man for various reasons. Exert control; instill morality, stroke egos, or whatever it does. Organized, structured religions all but remove god from the equation. You confess your sins to a clergy member, go to elaborate places to worship, told what to pray and when to pray it. All those factors remove you from god. Spirituality is born in a person and develops in the person. It may be kick started by a religion, or it may be kick started by a revelation. Spirituality extends to all facets of a person’s life. Spirituality is chosen while religion is often times forced. Being spiritual is more important and better than being religious. As our Swamiji Siddhar always says by being Spiritual, we can lead a very comfortable living but not a luxurious living. We need only to be comfortable in all occupations but not only luxurious. Religion can be anything that the person practicing it desires. God, on the other hand, defines spirituality. Since religion is man defined, Religion is a manifestation of the flesh. However, Spirituality, as defined by God, is a manifestation of His nature. True spirituality is something that is found deep within oneself. It is your way of loving, accepting and relating to the world and people around you. It cannot be found in a place of worship or by believing in a certain way. These definitions are not just different, they are incompatible! To define spirituality in a way which makes it dependent upon the individual? It is something that “develops in the person” or is “found deep within oneself.” The other, however, defines spirituality as something, which comes from God and is defined by God while religion is “anything that the person desires.” Is spirituality from God and religion from Man, or is it the other way around? Why such divergent views? We can better understand why such incompatible definitions (each representative of how many, many others define the terms) appear by observing what unites them: the denigration of religion. Religion is all about people controlling other people. Religion distances you from the sacred. Spirituality, whatever it really is, is good. Spirituality is the “true” way to reach God and the sacred. Spirituality is the right thing to center your life for protection and strength. Valid Distinctions between Religion & Spirituality This is not to say that there is nothing at all valid in the concept of spirituality — just that the distinction between spirituality and religion in general is not valid. Spirituality is a form of religion, but a private and personal form of religion. Thus, the valid distinction is between spirituality and organized religion.

We can see this in how there is little that people describe as characterizing spirituality but which has not also characterized aspects of traditional religion. Personal quests for God? Organized religions have made a great deal of room for such quests. Personal understandings of God? Organized religions have relied heavily upon the insights of mystics, although they have also sought to circumscribe their influence so as not to “rock the boat” too much and too quickly. Moreover, some of the negative features commonly attributed to religion can also be found in so-called “spiritual” systems. Is religion dependent upon a book of rules? Is religion dependent upon a set of written revelations from God rather than a personal communication? A Course in Miracles is a book of such revelations which people are expected to study and learn. It is important to note the fact that many of the negative things which people attribute to religions are, at best, features of some forms of some religions. This is perhaps why so much of spirituality remains attached to traditional religions, like attempts to soften their harder edges. Religion is spiritual and spirituality is religious. One tends to be more personal and private while the other tends to incorporate public rituals and organized doctrines. The lines between one and the other are not clear and distinct — they are all points on the spectrum of belief systems known as religion. Neither religion nor spirituality is better or worse than the other is; people who try to pretend that such a difference does exist are only fooling themselves. International Scam - Looting Millions of Dollars Through a Fake Ashram: A new, interesting piece of news is that the conspirator’s best friend just got involved in a big criminal case for looting a large sum of money from the NRIS’s in India by running fake Ashrams in India and America. His name is Muthukrishnan. There are eight individuals accused in the criminal case, including their wives, for helping in the international scam by collecting millions of dollars Siddhi Times USA 12

through a fake 501(c) 3 Ashram by the name Sri Gayathri Ashram, Inc.

is interested in getting something free always somewhere.

It’s registered as a non profit organization with a rented P.O. Box address showing that they are running an Ashram in Las Vegas, a Temple in Kansas, and an Ashram in Rameshwaram, India. The Indian police in charge of the20investigation found out about this big international scam and registered the criminal case under the Non Bailable Criminal Penal code sections 120 (b), 420, 406, 403, and 67 of I.T. Act 2000 (Fraud, Misappropriation, Cheating, Conspiracy, cyber crime ) on 24th July 2009.

Apart from the above, these people are also facing various lawsuits in America. I hear that they are very busy now running back and forth betwee n the court house and their attorney’s office.

Indian police are also investigating the some Indians involvement in the case. Reliable sources indicate that there is a chance of adding these three people to the case of this huge international scam. The local news papers in Coimbatore, India have published detailed news accounts of this fake Ashram and the international scam for looting Millions. Check out the news papers “Dinamani,” and “Dinakaran,” and Dinamalar Coimbatore - Indian Editions dated 24th July 2009 and 29th July 2009. In addition there is a complaint lodged with a certain US agency regarding this mega fraudulent scam.

The first is Neelakanta Yaksha. He has a blue throat. He controls the voice of the father in law and mother in law. The next is Visalaksha Yaksha. He makes the bad vision of the father in law and mother in law as the best one. The third is Marthanda Yaksha. He graces the daughter in law with a great mental strength. The fourth is Swachandha Yaksha. He graces the daughter in law with a smiling face. The fifth is Athisanthushta Yaksha. He makes the father in law and mother in law to fell satisfied with the daughter in law. The sixth is Kechara Yaksha. He removes the evil ideas from the minds of father in law and mother in law.

An avoidance or denial approach is much like putting a BandAid on a car’s blinking oil light because the light seems annoying. Of course, fifty or a hundred miles later, it would be greatly preferable to have understood the warning. Obviously, it’s even better not to have the light blinking, but if it does, then it’s important to do something about it since it’s there for a good reason. One certainly wouldn’t be very wise to disable it. Almost everyone has experienced one

or more dreams that contain anxiety or outright fear. For some, unpleasant dreams or nightmares recur repeatedly; for others, the content may change while the theme remains the same, such as scenes of falling, or of being pursued or attacked, late or unprepared for a presentation or an exam, stuck in slow motion, unable to move or scream, or naked in public, to name a few common themes. This type of experience, when unpleasant, is usually associated with lack of progress by the dreamer to recognize. The Atharva Veda clearly states the reasons for the bad dreams and scary dreams as follows. “The human mind is the reason for the dreams. The mind is controlled by the planets. The planets are controlled by the Yaksha/ Yakshini devathas. So, the planets are the basic reasons for the bad dreams and scary dreams”. he routine of a human life is much disturbed due to the curse of the ancestors. The sufferings include the problems in job, business or career. The most effected are only the kids. The education and health of the kids will start deteriating by the curse of the ancestors. Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar, the only living Siddhar and Atharva Veda Swamiji in the entire western countries, explains the easiest ways to get rid of the problems. The prayer or worship to the gods is called as Pooja. The worship for the Yaksha/Yakshini devathas is called as rituals and the prayer to the ancestors is called as Shraardham. The Atharva Veda’s chapter, Vishnu Dharamottara Purana states that those who obtain the property of the dead should perform Shraardham. If the Shraardham is not performed properly the concerned family will get the curse of the ancestors and suffer much due to that curse. As stated earlier, Nimi performed Shraardham in respect of his dead son, but later on repented, having gone against religious customs. Sage Vihatprashar has justified it as that such an ordinary rule may have to be overlooked, under exceptional circumstances. However, Sages Bodhayana and Vrihadshatatap state that a Shraardham, particularly at Gaya, can be performed in reverence to anyone, out of veneration and affection. According to Atharva Veda Thantras, grandson can also perform Shraardham to the grand parents. The Vedas even tell about the qualifications of a Brahmin for a Shraardham: While in charitable performance, no discrimination of Shraardham, it is essential that a proper choice of the Brahmin should be made, according to clan, knowledge, modesty, condition, beauty and his heritage. The persons who are having the following habits even they are the most qualified with education and knowledge are to be avoided. The unwanted habits to be avoided are gamblers, abortionists, TB patient, cowherd, illiterate, village announcer, interest receiver (money lender), singer, seller of all type of things indiscriminately, intruder into the house of others, poison giver, consumer of grains of criminals, seller of wines, Siddhi Times USA 18

Occupational palmist, Government servant, seller of oils, false evidence giver, quarrelsome with father, receiver of adulterer in his house, blemish, thief, occupational sculptors, imposter, backbiter, friend cheater, women chaser, teacher of Sudras, occupational manufacturer of arms and ammunition, roamer with dogs, one bitten by a dog, who is a bachelor but his younger brother has been married, skin diseased, lover of Guru’s consort, blind, acrobat, one who lives on the earnings of the temple and an occupational astrologer. Such Brahmins should not be invited to perform Shraardham ceremony, because the food consumed by them goes to devils (Rakshasas). There are different types of curses, described in, which befall a donor, because of feeding such Brahmins. Shraardham is not the occasion for widening friendship therefore friends should not be invited to a Shraardham. Shraardham food should not be given to friends or enemies, but should be given to natural persons only. Food given to friends or enemies does not reach the ancestors. Instead of feeding hundreds, it is worthy while feeding one capable Brahmin. An inter-caste Brahmin and a Brahmin born out of wedded women for second time, is not suitable, because everything given to such is equal to ashes. The Vedas have established strict rules for performing Shraardham. Oblations (Offerings): Any woman from another caste should not be employed on cooking food for the Shraardham. A woman under menstruation or a woman with crippled ears should not be allowed at the site of the Shraardham. Any edibles, offered to the ancestors, when mixed with honey, give limitless satisfaction to the ancestors. The Vedas have made a strict list in the materials to be consumed and not consumed for the Shraardham. Ingredients which should not be included

in the food for the Shraardham are Asafoetida, Lassen (Garlic) and onions. Forbidden vegetables are Drum stick, Kachnar, carrots, pumpkin, Amla and squash gourd (konhadda). To end with the topic of Shraardham, in reverence to the Pitrus (ancestors), we narrate here answers to certain queries raised between a dialogue of Bhishma and Yudhishtra of the Mahabharata in relevance to Shraardham. Any person, who is a donor and the Brahmin who performs Shraardham ceremony should not enter into intercourse with wife: the donor for one month because from the day of the Shraardham, the Pitrus (ancestors) live in his semen for one month. The Brahmin concerned, on the day of the performance of the Shraardham, is recognized as the ancestor of the donor on that day. So he should not have intercourse with his wife on that day, because that day, his wife is equivalent to another’s (donor’s) wife. In another query about the action, which one should perform in order to gain the blessings of the ancestors, the later replied that by donation of a blue bull, oblations of sesame seeds mixed water and by offer of lighted lamp, one (donor) gets rid of the debt of the ancestors. So any donation given disinterestedly is great imperishable and ever gives satisfaction to the ancestors. Such donors will save their ancestors from going to hell (Naraka). Thus the time, action, ritual, performer and fruit of Shraardham, were described in Anushasan Parava of the Mahabharata.

Hindus set aside sixteen days in a year which are known as Shraadhs, Pitrupaksh. Those sixteen days fall during the third or fourth week of September or first week of October. The Tithi (date of moon phase according to the Hindu calendar) of death is considered as the Shraardham day of that particular person. On the appointed day a pundit is invited as a special guest. The waning period of the moon during the month of Kanya plus the Poornima of the previous fortnight, form the period of Shraardham is considered as the most auspicious period for performing the Shraardham. The sixteen days include the Tithi of death, irrespective of the waxing or waning of the moon. One can find out the exact thithi from the Panchangam (almanac) or from the punditji, the corresponding dates according to the English calendar and note them down against the name of each individual who is to be honored. Individually, on the Tithi of each person, the ceremony should be performed. There may be a common date for two or three persons. Perform the Shraardham to your convenience and get the blessings of the ancestors. By the blessings of the ancestors, one can have a peaceful life. uring the past issues, we discussed a lot about Vedic Astrology. I also explained about some problems faced by the human beings and about the ways to solve the problems with the help of Vedic Astrology. In this issue, I wish to explain about the stars. Even though there are many stars in this universe, only 27 stars play a major role in the zodiac according to Vedic Astrology. I wish to divide those stars in three parts and explain the nature of those stars. The zodiac according to Indian Astrology comprises of 360 degrees. There are 27 Nakshatras or constellations in it. Therefore, the value of each constellation is 13 degrees and 20 minutes when measured from the fixed initial point. These 27 Nakshatras (stars) complete the entire circle of 360 degrees of the zodiac. A forecast based on the transit/ correlation/inter - relation of planets in relation to the Nakshatras is more accurate than the results predicted based on any other system. Ashwini is the first nakshatra of the zodiac having a spread from 0°-0’-0” to 13°-20’ and is ruled by the node Kethu. Ashwini is governed by the Ashwins, the twin equestrians. The Sun is exalted here and the horse is the preferred transport of the Sun God. Sun’s exaltation in Ashwini is a reminder to the soul of their eternal connection.

The deity for Aswini Nakshatra is Aswi or the Duality known as Aswini Kumar Twins, the physician of the Gods. The Puranas relate that the two Aswini Kumaras were born of mother Sanga and father Ravi. Ashwini nakshatra falls in the zodiac sign of Mesha, which is ruled by the aggressive and fiery planet Mars.

Bharani, means “The Bearing Star”, also known as “The Star of Restraint”. Yama, the God of Death, rules Bharani. This is the second nakshatra of the zodiac, ranging from 13°-20’ to 26°-40’. The planet of art and beauty, the Venus, rules this nakshatra.The energy of Bharani is called ugra or krura, which translates as harsh, powerful, hot, formidable and fierce. This star is under the planetary lordship of Venus and is within the sign of Aries, ruled by Mars. The star Bharani represents the character of Agni Rasi Tamo Guna. The etymological meaning of Bharani is “what deserves to be cultivated and preserved” that is dependence, servitors, retainers or anything by which living is earned. Bharani’s animal symbol is the Elephant. This star is connected with the energies we expend to maintain ourselves in the material world.Bharani Nakshatra takes away that which has reached its term of life to a new condition. It shows the movement of the soul away from the body. It conveys ideas pertaining to discipline, self-control to be faithful, be firm, enduring supporting, maintaining, nourishing, etc. In case of strong malefic influences, persons may develop extreme tendencies like crimes, murders, terrorism, etc. If a person is born in this Nakshatra, he is cruel, ungrateful and no sense of indebt ness, achieves notoriety, fears water, is restless and wicked. They are stable, knowledgeable and truthful. Bharani born are honest and they are frank in their opinions and do not want to modify their opinions to please others. An interesting feature of those born in Bharani is that they are quiet fond of spreading rumors. Females born in this nakshatra are career minded. Krittika being a female nakshatra suggests passivity, indicating that Krittika needs outer energy or life circumstance to activate their power. Krittika Nakshatra burns up negativity, purifies what is mixed, and cooks or prepares that which is not yet ripe. This nakshatra rules war, battles, and disputes. Planets in Krittika activate its passive energy. Krittika denotes capability to give a desired change in a form by burning out all the impurities of life or the wrongs and give birth to purity, morality and virtues. People with this nakshatra have a cutting wit and can be sarcastic and critical. They are stubborn, aggressive and can be very angry. Those born under Krittika nakshatra have strained relations with relatives and friends. However, these persons are gluttons, fond of spicy foods, well versed academically, fond of opposite sex, bright in appearance, misers, and worried nature and of widespread fame. Those born on a Krittika day are fiery and full of creative energy. They like to take on big projects and are highly ambitious and self-motivated. The other name of Rohini is Surabi - the celestial cow. ‘Rohini’ is the wife of Chandra who is said to have been fond of fine dress, cosmetics and décor and was the most beloved of Chandra or Moon. Those born in the star Rohini are agriculturists, experts, well-behaved, handsome, good speakers and poets. Rohini Nakshatra evokes some degree of jealousy because others may resent that a person gains such abundance. It can increase desire. However, these are only side effects to its great prosperity. A person born in this Nakshatra is efficient in religious activities, earns his livelihood through agricultural occupation, is endowed with beauty, is a master-conversationalist, a genius and efficient in arts. They are extremely materialistic and frown on those who do not measure up to their taste and high culture. Punarvasu Nakshatra brings about the return of energy and vitality. It causes our creative growths and inspirations to be renewed. It denotes the ideas of abode, residence, back to home, sojourn, recurrence, commencement, to shine or grow bright again, to enter into life again, renewal of riches, etc. A person born in this Nakshatra has numerous friends, is a practitioner of sacred texts and scriptures, possesses gems, jewels etc. and they have the spirit to rise from the ashes. These people have a good height and an oval face. They tend to be obese in their later age. Females born in this nakshatra are calm but tend to get into arguments to exhibit their intelligence. Pushya Nakshatra increases our good karma and good efforts. The value of this Nakshatra for religious and spiritual practices is emphasized.The person born under this Nakshatra has a healthy body, obeys his parents, religious, humble, fortunate and possesses wealth and vehicles etc.These people respect laws and believe that nobody should be above the law. These people are likely to suffer from lack of hormones that help in body growth and digestion, skin troubles, cough and cold and asthma. Males born in this sign are likely to be tall but thin. Females born in this sign are short in stature with an oval face. They are devotional, wealthy, doubting, soft nature and jack-of-all-trades and well placed. The serpent God rules Aslesha. This is the ninth nakshatra of the zodiac, spanning from 16°-40’ to 30°-00’ in Kataka house. It is the birth star of Kethu. The force of Aslesha can be understood by its name Naga. Aslesha Nakshatra can be helpful if we have enemies but it can serve to give a person an inimical temperament as well. It all depends upon how the energy of this Nakshatra is used. A person born in ‘Aslesha Nakshatra’ is a born wanderer i.e. travels unnecessarily, wicked, causes anguish to others, spends his wealth for evil purposes, and is a sensualist. Their disease resistant capacity is limited. They tend to put on weight in the middle age.

The Significance of Navaratri Sri Mathre Namaha Goddess Parasakthi, wife of Lord Shiva is the united shape of the holy trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. She created this universe. As it is very common to have a few bad things while creating good things, a few evil spirits, called “Asuraas,” were also created. Nobody was able to conquer them. So everybody prayed Goddess Parasakthi to kill these evil manifestations and protect the universe. So, Goddess Parasakthi killed all the evil spiritss in a span of nine days. These days usually come in the Tamil month Purattasi or Aippasi (According to the English Calendar from the 3rd week of September to the 3rd week of October). These nine days are called, “Navaratri,” and the 10th day is called, Vijaya Dasami. This 10th day is the best day to begin the learning of any kind of art or to start a new business. If we pray to Goddess Parasakthi on these days, it is sure that we will get the best blessings from Goddess Parasakthi. Athrv Veda says that 80% of our dreams are in color. They believe that these dreams of color happen later in the sleep cycle while black and white dreams occur earlier in the sleep stage. Others believe we never dream in black and white and believe that it is biologically impossible. The colors in dreams convey different ideas based on our cultural differences. Although, universal dreams occur in all cultures, they express different meanings. Symbolism, (that right brain activity), color and interpretation are ultimately best transcribed by the individual. Some of the folklore on the symbolism of color and dreams can be an interesting discovery. Below is a list of color and their interpretations.

The image of a bath or bathroom occurs particularly before decisive turning-points in the dreamer’s life. The water in the dream bath symbolizes spiritual energy. Should the bath be a pool in the open air, for example, it is a thoroughly positive image. The secrets of Shakti Peetams By “Swamiji Selvam Siddhar” It is an ancient story. Sri Daksha did not invite his son in law, Lord Shiva for the great Yagna. But Lord Shiva’s wife, Sati Devi wanted to go to her father’s house. Lord shiva tried to stop her but she refused to stop the journey to her father’s house. On seeing SatiDevi, Daksha started talking ill of Lord Shiva. On hearing the ill talking of Daksha, Satidevi, sacrificed her life in that place itself. On hearing this sad news Lord Shiva got angry and rushed to the place of Daksha. He killed Daksha. It as an in out sati had left her body into yagna and decided to be a wife of Lord Shiva by taking rebirth as a daughter of Himalaya. Knowing this, Lord Shiva was annoyed and also fascinated. He had destroyed the yagna of Daksha and started dancing holding the dead body of Sati. In order to calm down Lord Shiva and for the welfare of Sadhakas, Lords Brahma and Mahavishnu cut the body of Sati and threw her different organs of body at different places. They became the 51- Shakti Peetam. As per the Atharva Vedic scriptures, the places where the organs of the upper body were fell, vaidic Dakshin Marga’s worship are to be done while the places where lower organs were fell, the Vammarg’s worship are to be done. The various Shakti Peetams are described as follows 1. Kamrup Peetam: - The place where Vulva of Sati fell is known as ‘Kamrup Peetam’. It is a root place of letter ‘A’, means Sri Vidya is placed here as the Principal divinity As per Atharva Veda, the Siddhis (powers) like ‘Anima’ are accomplished here. There are two sub-Peetams named ‘Vansha’ created by Loma, were established. The power of Mantras can be achieved here. 2. Kashika Peetam: - The place where breasts fell is known as Kashika Peetam, from where ‘Aa’ was created. One can get salvation after death at this place two steams came out from her breasts, which converted into rivers viz ‘Asi’ and ‘Varna’. There are two sub Peetams as one named ‘Dakshin Sarnath’ on the bank of ‘Asi’ and second named ‘Uttar Sarnath’ on the North of ‘Varana’. One achieves the power of Mantras of Dakshin and North ways. 3. Organ of Generation: - The place where this organ fell is known as ‘Nepal Peetam’ from where ‘I’ was created. It is an origin of ‘Vam-Vad’. There are 56 lakhs- Bhairav-Bhairavi, 2 Thousands Shaktis, three hundred Peetams and 14-grave yards. There are four Peetams of ‘Dakshin Marg’ which are fruitful of them; Vaidic Mantras can be accomplished here. In the east of Nepal, excretion fell and it became the abode of Kiratas. There is a residence of thirty thousands of ‘Deva-yoni’.

4. Raudra-Parvat: - Here the left eye fell. The vowel long ‘Ii’ was created. One can have darshan of Devathas here by the accomplishment of Mantras. 5. Kashmir Peetam: - The left ear fell here. The vowel ‘U’ was created from. One can achieve all the Mantras here. Many wonderful ‘Tirthas’ (holy water) exit here. But they were demolished by NonHindus during this Kaliyuga. 6. Kanyakubja Peetam: - Right ear fell here and vowel ‘Long U’ was created. Brahma, etc. Gods had constructed their Tirthas in this holy place named ‘Antarvedi’ situated between Ganga and Yamuna. Vaidic mantras are accomplished here. The place where the dirt of the ear fell the sub-Peetam named Indraprastha was established on the bank of Yamuna. Under its miraculous power, Brahma regained the knowledge of Vedas which he had forgotten. 7. Purnagiri Peetam :- The nose fell here. The vowel ‘Ru’ was created. Yogsiddhi is achieved here. The devotee can get the Darshan of the Mantra’s principal deity. 8. Arbudachal Peetam - The left cheek fell at this place, where ‘Ru’ was created Shakti named ‘Ambika’ is enshrined here and ‘Vam-Theory’ can be achieved here. 9. Amrat Keshvar Peetam:- The right cheek fell here. It is an abode of Yakshini Devathas.

10. Ekamra Peetam: - The Nails fell here. This Peetam gives knowledge. 11. Trishot Peetam: - Three folds of skin above naval were fell and ‘E’ was created. Three pieces of her cloth fell at its east, west and south portion where three sub-Peetams were established. A Brahmin accomplishes the power of the Mantra. 12. Kamkoti Peetam: - Navel fell at this place. All the Kam-mantras can be accomplished here. There are four subPeetams around its four directions, where ‘Apsaras’ reside. 13. Kailas Peetam: - The fingers fell here. The fingers were established in the form of ‘Ling’ Here the recitation of hymns by counting beads will give immediate achievement. 14.
