SCAC Winter Shooting Programme (Mk 3) - 2008/9 Shooting Programme can and probably will vary. Check with notice board. No refunds. Sundays from 7 Sept on - Assemble 1.15pm for sighters at 2.00 at latest - Sundays can be short!! Weekdays - 7.00-9.00pm indoors, Wednesdays and Fridays unless otherwise advised Note that we have to be out of the Hall by 9 pm There may be "Training Nights" etc to incorporate into the shooting programme - watch the notice board. Rounds are suggested; alternatives may be shot - please consult the Field Captain. Generally the competitions are on Wednesdays, and Fridays are intended for serious shooting practice. Apologies for 10, 17, 24 Sept - there are too many beginners to have a club shoot indoors at the same time John Massey will try to arrange a Quiz (for benefit of Club Funds) over the winter. Shooting will be altered to work round it, so watch this space! COMPETITIONS:Indoors Pairs - two dozen arrows, 40cm target, 10 zone scoring, 10m. Can be shot any club night, as often as you like - score sheets to Jon Richmond. Does not affect handicap or classification. Made scores are put in ranking order; a "pair" is the combined score of the top score with lowest score, second highest with second lowest etc. Highest "pair" wins. Winning pair announced at AGM. Darts - 301 down - record the number of arrows you finished in (score sheets to Jon) for ranking for the "final" competition night knock out. Darts rules, except you don't have to start on a double though you do have to finish on one. Outdoors Pairs - The Frostbite scores will be used for outdoors pairs Vegas - Highest made scores - Ladies, Gents, Juniors. Michael Buesden - Highest handicap adjusted score for Portsmouth, any bow type / gender / age. Fun Competitions - To be advised - probably Portsmouth or Indoor Pairs based. No prizes, just glory.
