BCM-240: “ Fundementals of BCM with SS540 ”

(Applicable in Singapore Only)

BCM Institute’s introductory one day course on the fundamentals of SS 540:2008 and tenets of Business Continuity Management (BCM) provides the participant with grounding in the national standard of BCM Practice released in November 2008. The course basically covers the framework and guidelines for companies, large or small, to move to a higher level of preparedness in order to lessen the impact of natural or man-made disruptions. BCM Institute conducts our experiential training using experienced instructors who expound utilizing BCM’s best practices, classroom exercises and instructor led discussions.

The course would cover the following topics which the participants should be able to achieve at the end of the session: • Understand the function and purpose of SS540:2008 • Translate the requirements of SS540:2008 into the participant’s company business functions • Articulate these requirements to his/her management, business partners, suppliers and/or colleagues • Identify the elements of Business Continuity Management • Identify potential threats, risks and disruptions to the company’s business, and how to mitigate them • Be able to similarly convey these elements and risks to managemen BCM-240 is designed for Senior and Middle Management, Department Representatives, Business Unit Coordinators, Organisational BC Managers and Planners. This course is suitable for those who are new to BC or DR, or recently been involved in BC or DR project /program within your organization.
