Upcoming Events

This past week the 4th grade team worked on: building math fluency; filling out inventor’s logs; our science units: Electricity, Levers and Pulleys, and Models and Designs; and discussing inventions. We also started Spanish this past week. Senorita Leon will be teaching Spanish to the fourth graders every three days. This is a similar rotation to the specialist schedule. The first unit the 4th grade team has been working on is inventions. The central idea is: Inventions are created to solve a problem and fill a need. The students will be writing in their “Inventor’s Logs” during school and also for homework. This is where they will write about problems they see around them and possible solutions to these problems. They need to have a “witness” sign the log every time they write in them.

With the flu season already upon us, the 4th grade team would love donations of Clorox wipes for sanitizing desk tops, door knobs, etc.

Please remember to look at your child’s planner/ tracker each night and sign at the bottom.
