This week the 4th grade team has been working on: Hopes & Dreams, our Essential Agreements, and developing community within our classrooms. You will hear a lot about the “Learner Profiles” this year. This is what we want our students to become. These qualities are: Open-Minded Caring Balanced Communicators Risk-Taker Reflective Knowledgeable Thinker Principled Inquirer The first unit the 4th grade will do is on inventions. The central idea is: Inventions are created to solve a problem and fill a need. The students are very excited! The 4th grade team will be looking for parent volunteers in the upcoming weeks for compiling book orders. More information will be forthcoming. Ms. Harthan needs volunteers to organize her classroom library and to make invention logs. Please contact her if interested.
