E. Unlocking of Difficult Term This morning we will be dealing with the words “Cutlery” and Table Napkin “”. Cutlery-Implement for cutting and eating food. So anyone who can give me the synonym of the word cutlery Ma’am the word I can associate with the cutlery is or any word you can associate flatware, silverware or tableware such as spoon, with? knives, fork. Okay very good!
Next, what is Table Napkin? Table Napkin – A piece of material (such as cloth or paper) used at a table to wipe the lips or fingers and protect the clothes.
. F. Lecture Discussion Fine Dining A style of eating that usually takes place in expensive restaurants, where especially good food is served to people, often in a formal way. The fine dining is a restaurant concept offering guest the finest in food, service, and atmosphere
Ma’am table napkin is a piece of material (such as cloth or paper) used at a table to wipe the lips or fingers and protect the clothes.
1 .The Attire Suit and tie, lounge dress (formal attire).Collared shirts are preferred for men, and some restaurants also require a sport jacket or tie in order to be fully dressed. For ladies, skirts or dresses or other nice clothing are recommended.
2. The Table Napkin Upon sitting down at the table, the napkin should be unfolded and placed on one’s lap.
3. The Menu If unsure of what to order, ask a waiter to make some recommendations. One thing that should never be done, however, is to ask the chef to alter a dish for your specifications.
4. The Glasses . When making a toast, never clink glasses manners to make eye contact with one’s dining companions when toasting.
5. The Wine When you plan your food- wine matches. You choose the wine base on how it will complement the food.
6.The Cutlery
Fine dining cutlery often overwhelms people with the various utensils used for different courses. For those confused about which fork to use with which course, the rule of thumb is to start at the outside and work your way inward.
