SAMPLE PURPOSES FOR ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION/PARTNERSHIPS

A. STOCK CORPORATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS DAY CARE CENTER To own, operate, run, manage, and engage in the business of a day care center containing facilities for babysitting services, private tutoring, and feeding of toddlers, infants, and children, but not to maintain or engage in facilities for elementary or secondary education.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION (secondary school) To establish and operate an educational institution or learning center which shall provide courses of study in Pre-school, Elementary, and High School (Junior High School and Senior High School) and tertiary education subject to the laws of the Philippines.

B. NON-STOCK OPERATIONS ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS To establish, organize and maintain the spirit of camaraderie and cooperation among the alumni of <school> in order to preserve their bond and brotherhood; foster closer relationship among themselves and improve their individual and collective welfare. Assist and participate in any manner in the programs and undertakings of the school as well as that of the government. Promote and undertake projects and activities designed to enhance their cultural, social and economic well-being and to continue to uphold the noble tradition, ideals and causes for which the school stands for and to safeguard its good name and reputation as defender of our democratic way of life.

FOUNDATIONS To promote the integral human development of the people who are poor and marginalized, especially the urban poor in order to alleviate their cause through trainings, education and formation programs.

To provide opportunities for people in need to improve the quality of their lives through efficient and effective management of resources. To conduct livelihood training activities, formal and non-formal education projects and scholarship assistance.

To provide and accept grants, contributions, donations and other forms of assistance/financial aid, technical or in kind for the maintenance of the foundation and attainment of its purposes. To do such other things as are necessary for the accomplishment of its objectives.

PARENTS-TEACHERS ASSOCIATION To keep a harmonious relationship between parents and teachers for the improvement of the school, as well as of the students. To extend financial and moral support in all its programs and projects that the school has to conduct for the attainment of higher quality education. To upgrade the educational, social, moral, health, and economic welfare of the community. To conduct fund-raising activities to pursue its objectives and programs; receive donations, grants and bequests from government and private individuals and entities. To do such other things necessary for the accomplishment of its purposes.

PRIVATE PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION To give a sound, complete, and well-rounded nursery kindergarten and preparatory education to children and youth in the country and to promote their intellectual, moral and spiritual development

PRIVATE ELEMENTARY EDUCATION To establish and operate an educational institution or learning center which shall provide courses of study in Pre-School and Elementary Grades subject to the laws of the Philippines. To receive tuition and miscellaneous fees, accept donations, endowments, grants, legacies and instruments/devices conformably with existing applicable statutes. Provided that this registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission shall not be construed as a grant of authority to operate the school and that the establishment, operation, administration and management of this school shall be subject to existing laws, rules, and regulations or policies and standards of Batas Pambansa Blg. 232 otherwise known as Education Act of 1982.

PRIVATE SECONDARY EDUCATION To establish and operate an educational institution or learning center which shall provide courses of study in General Secondary Education subject to the laws of the Philippines. To receive tuition and miscellaneous fees, accept donations, endowments, grants, legacies and instrument/devices conformably with existing applicable statutes.

Provided that this registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission shall not be construed as a grant of authority to operate the school and that the establishment, operation, administration and management of this school shall be subject to existing laws, rules and regulations or policies and standards of Batas Pambansa Blg. 232 otherwise known as Education Act of 1982.

PRIVATE TECHNICAL, VOCATIONAL EDUCATION To establish and operate an educational institution which shall provide courses of study in private technical, vocational and post-secondary, non-degree education subject to the laws of the Philippines.
