Greve: That the agenda for the September 8, 2009 meeting be accepted as presented. CARRIED. Corbett: That the minutes of the August 17, 2009 regular meeting be adopted. CARRIED.
Amend Resolution #244.2009 294.2009 Hinz: That resolution #244.2009 be amended by replacing “$200,000” with “$100,000”. CARRIED. Pecuniary Interest Don Reimer declared a pecuniary interest and left the room. Request to Amend Zoning Bylaw 295.2009 Hinz: That Council abide by the current zoning bylaw and not allow a dog grooming business in the residential area. CARRIED. Don Reimer reentered the meeting. 4th Avenue concerns – speed and heavy trucks Sgt. Flemming will arrange to have a radar sign for 4 th Avenue once construction finished for approximately 2 weeks. A highway transport unit will also be Sgt. Norman Flemming left the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
SWWA Conference 297.2009 Corbett: That Kelly Johnston and Josh Buniak be authorized to attend the SWWA conference in Saskatoon on November 2 and 3, 2009, with associated expenses being paid by the municipality. CARRIED. WTII and WDII – Josh Buniak 298.2009 Greve: That Josh Buniak be authorized to challenge his exams for Water Treatment II and Water Distribution II, with associated expenses being paid by the municipality. CARRIED. Three-way Stop – 4th Avenue & 6th Street 299.2009 Hinz: That the administrator draft an amendment to the traffic bylaw to include a three-way stop at 4th Avenue and 6th Street. CARRIED. Administration Reports 300.2009 Corbett: That the following administration report be accepted as presented: a) Town Administrator’s Report b) Outside Superintendent’s Report CARRIED. Post Office Renovation 301.2009 Corbett: That the Town hire Bryan Kingston to renovate the upstairs of the post office at a rate of $25/hour. CARRIED.

Waste Minimization Forum 303.2009 Corbett: That Don Reimer be authorized to attend the Fall ’09 Waste Minimization Forum being held in North Battleford on September 24 and 25, and that associated expenses be paid by the municipality. CARRIED. Correspondence 304.2009 Greve: That the following correspondence be received and filed for information: a) Barb Eichendorf – Twin Rivers Meeting b) Partners for the SK River Basin c) Waste Minimization Forum d) Ministry of Environment CARRIED. Sidewalk on 5th Street in Front of Genesis Estates 305.2009 Reimer: That the Town budget in 2010 for sidewalk replacement in front of Genesis Estates on 5th Street, with Genesis paying for half the cost. CARRIED. Residential Interceptor Pit Policy 306.2009 Corbett: That the Town amend its policy to allow grit interceptors in residential garages as long as they are installed in accordance with the attached drawing. CARRIED. Nomination Period 307.2009 Helmuth: That nominations for mayor and six councillors will be received on the 30th day of September, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Rosthern Town Office and during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. to noon; 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) on the following days: Wednesday to Friday, September 16 to September 18, 2009 Monday to Friday, September 21 to 25, 2009 Monday to Tuesday, September 28 to September 29, 2009.
