I am performing my Vise II workshop in the Adventist School. This school is located in Quilpue city, only four blocks away of the old school ( the place where I made my Vise I ) . Between these schools exists a short distance but a huge difference in terms of their realities. I am so glad about the the new school. I am really learning about the classroom. Also, I am understanding how little things makes differences. The teacher is dynamic, he keeps the attention of their students even if they are yelling loud. It is funny, but I am learning about subjects too. All these situations did not happen in the pass, in my last Vise. Probably you are thinking that I am describing an enormous private school. If you did it, let me tell you that you are wrong. The School that I have mentioned, is a little and religious school, which is part of the international system of education of the Seven Day Adventist Church. In our country we have at least 20 schools of this church, which accept students of diferents religions, age and race. For the Adventist Education, a learning based in values like respect and love are part of their mission. As I said, the reality of this school, the enviroment was absolutely different. As I said, the reality of this school, the environment was absolutely different. Huge differences in terms of organization, schedules, population, etc. I am sure that the last school was bigger than this, but the behaving of the students was not what I have expected. Teenagers with a similar age, social and economical similar conditions behave quite different. Which is the reason? The environment is something abstract and concrete at the same time. Having a lot of classrooms or teachers is not enough. if we want to change the minds of our teenagers. Some day I heared about "Values in the classroom"1 , and their consequences in the behaved inside the classroom. Honestly, I consider this, as a dynamic, possible and necessary alternative. An alternative on the searching of new strategies about the learning proccess.
