Reflective Writing Nº1: The School Up to day I am attending during this VISE II a Seventh grade in an English Class at San Judas Tadeo School, which is located in San Juan de Dios’ Hill in Valparaíso. In this class are fourteen students, five of those are boys and the rest nine are girls. It can be a little bit difficult to get there but students always arrive on time. This establishment depends one hundred percent of the city hall for that reason students do not pay taxes for studying and there is no ingress selection process, so everybody can study here. The School environment is as if you were at home but sometimes students loose the distance and respect that they should have on their teachers because they sow them as their equals. Everybody that is studying pedagogy must know that the learning process “by psychologists and educators is to learn to acquire knowledge or skills. Learning also may involve a change in attitude or behavior”1, but unfortunately, this School is located in a very special hill, the socio economic level is low so almost all of the students do not wear uniforms and their vocabulary and behave are not the right one, the socio cultural level is also low, so their families can not help during this development. For these reasons, the learning process is difficult, the teacher is always remembering how they must behave, what they should do with their lives and what they can do or not in the classroom and outside of it, I know that these skills are important in life but students also need to learn different things that are involved in the “Planes y Programas” that are gave from the government to develop in time. Also is kind of difficult because at the same time, next to the classroom is the yard and when these kids are in English classes, the P.E. class is been done. Consequently, the teacher loss her time doing other things and the students do not have the opportunity to learn in a good way as they must. May be whit the pass of time I will see other thinks, but during this five sessions The Learning Process of these students was complicated by their behavior and external issues that made slower the fact of teaching and learning. But sadly all these components affect them and the solution is not into the school, is into their houses and that is something bigger than a problem of education at school.
