Our facility uses ProNutra at the first signs of skin breakdown and we are amazed at the results. We have seen residents who had stage IV wounds (and multiple system failures) and who probably would have died without the ProNutra. We are seeing that ProNutra used on wound closure in formerly hard to heal or "unhealable" residents progresses rapidly without use of alginates, wound vacuums, etc. Consequently, we are able to use much cheaper gauze type dressings. ProNutra is working even on residents positive for MRSA and Pepto Streptococcus which causes necrotizing fasciatis. In short, ProNutra improves the patients' quality of life, reduces healing times for wounds, and saves our facility money and staffing hours by reducing elaborate and costly treatments.
