JURNAL 1(DESIZING) Penghilangan Kanji(desizing) Sebelum ditenun benang lusi dikanji untuk menambah kekuatan dan daya gesek yang tinggi. Benang lusi yang tidak dikanji kekuatannya rendah, mudah putus sehingga mengurangi mutu kain dan efisiensi produksi. Kanji bersifat menghalangi penyerapan ( Hidrofob ) larutan baik dalam proses pemasakan, pengelantangan, pencelupan, pencapan, dan penyempurnaan khusus sehingga hasil proses tersebut kurang sempurna. Pada proses pencelupan dan pencapan zat warna tidak bisa mesuk kedalam serat sehingga warna luntur dan tidak rata. Kanji alam antara lain : - Pati (tapioka), jagung (Meizena), kentang (farina), gandum (terigu), - Kanji protein seperti glue, gelatin, dan kasein - Macam – macam gom. - Modifikasi kanji , dekstrin. Kanji sintetik antara lain : - PVA (Polivenil alkohol), Akrilik, dan lain-lain - Derivat sellulosa seperti tylose (CMC), Hidrksil etil sellulosa, dan metil selullosa. - Derivat kanji seperti starch ester, starch eter. Untuk menghilangkan kanji digunakan zat – zat penghilang kanji seperti : 1. air 2. Asam Encer seperti asam sulfat(H2SO4), asam Chlorida(HCl) 3. Alkali Encer seperti natrium hidroksida (NaOH) 4. Enzym seperti mout diastase, pankreas diastase dan bakteri diastase. 5. Oksidator seperti natrium peroksida(Na2O2), aktivin S, perborat Sedangkan metoda atau cara yang digunakan adalah : 1. cara perendaman 2. Cara Pad Batch 3. Cara Kontinyu
