5V RS-485/RS-422 Half-Duplex Transceiver Ideal for Industrial and Remote Data Collection Applications The SP4082E is designed for reliable, bidirectional communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. The device contains one differential driver and one differential receiver. It is a half-duplex device and complies with TIA/EIA-485 and TIA/EIA-422 standards. This device is ruggedized for use in harsh operating conditions over the entire common-mode voltage range from -7V to +12V. Receivers are specially designed to fail-safe to a logic high output state if the inputs are open or shorted. All RS-485 bus-pins are protected against severe ESD events up to ±15kV (Human Body Model). Drivers are protected from excess current flow caused by bus contention or output short-circuits by both an internal current limit and a thermal-overload shutdown. Up to 256 transceivers may coexist while preserving full signal margin. The device operates from a single 5.0V power supply and draws negligible quiescent power. The device has an independent enable and disable for the driver and receiver and will enter a low power shutdown mode if both driver and receiver are disabled. All outputs maintain high impedance during shutdown or when powered-off.

The Programmable Foundation for Targeted Design Platforms
Linear’s newest high-speed ADC family achieves 1/3rd the power consumption of existing solutions without compromising AC performance. Whether operating at full speed or in sleep mode, the LTC2261 significantly lowers the power budget for high-speed data acquisition, making it possible to “cut the cord” and migrate products into the portable world. The LTC2261-14/LTC2260-14/LTC2259-14 are sampling 14-bit A/D converters designed for digitizing high frequency, wide dynamic range signals. They are perfect for demanding communications applications with AC performance that includes 73.4dB SNR and 85dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR). Ultralow jitter of 0.17psRMS allows undersampling of IF frequencies with excellent noise performance. DC specs include ±1LSB INL (typical), ±0.3LSB DNL (typical) and no missing codes over temperature. The transition noise is a low 1.2LSBRMS. The digital outputs can be either full rate CMOS, double data rate CMOS, or double data rate LVDS. A separate output power supply allows the CMOS output swing to range from 1.2V to 1.8V. The ENC+ and ENC– inputs may be driven differentially or single-ended with a sine wave, PECL, LVDS, TTL or CMOS inputs. An optional clock duty cycle stabilizer allows high performance at full speed for a wide range of clock duty cycles

LTC®2261 — 125Msps ADC at 125mW One-Third the Power of Comparable High-Speed ADCs
Modern automobile, industrial and telecomm environments continue to include increasingly complex electronic systems. Additionally, these electrical and physical environments continue to be very harsh for any type of electronics. Wide operating voltage requirements coupled with large transient voltages and wide temperature variations combine to make life difficult on electronic systems. High efficiency is of paramount importance as it minimizes thermal design considerations while also maximizing battery run time. Equally important is very low quiescent current which minimizes the power drawn from a battery when the IC is in a standby mode. Many of these applications operate from batteries, or utilize back-up batteries, in which a voltage rail must be maintained with no load current for an extended period of time. Therefore, it is important to keep the quiescent current as low as possible. Common applications are automotive GPS, security and environmental control systems as well as a myriad of industrial applications. Additionally, as manufacturers increase the electronic content of their systems, the space requirements continue to shrink demanding smaller and more efficient power solutions. The New Direction: Linear Technology adds the LT3682 to its existing family of high voltage Micropower monolithic step-down converters to specifically address these requirements. The LT3682 provides an extremely compact 36VIN step-down solution with transient protection to 60V. The device provides improved performance in all key areas including size, efficiency, ease of design, as well as excellent thermal performance.
