You can show where your treasure is by letting others see where your heart is. As a kid, you don’t have a job to make money to help others. Spend a few minutes with your family talking about what you can do to show where you treasure and your heart are. Check out the KiDSCOR blog at http:// kidscor.blogspot.com/ for some ideas that might work for your family. Write down some of the ideas that you and your family came up with.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven . . . For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:196:19-21 Check the box to the left if you learned this week’s memory

The word stewardship comes from a time when servants took care of their masters property. In that same way, we are stewards for God. All that we have comes from Him and belongs to Him. It is our responsibility to make the most we can of what He has trusted to us. Use the letters in the word STEWARDSHIP to make as many words as you can think of that are gifts to God.
SCRIPTURE READING: MONDAY: Matthew 25:14-15 Why do you think they got different amounts given to them? How does that compare to us getting different talents than our friends? TUESDAY: Matthew 25:16-17 WEDNESDAY:Matthew 25:18-20 THURSDAY: Matthew 25:21-25 How do we hide our talents from our Master?
FRIDAY: Matthew 25:26-29 How do you think God feels when we don’t use our talents for others?
Many times we have great plans to do things for others, but we just get too busy or forget. Ask your parents if your family can do a kindness jar. Every time a member of the family does an act of kindness, a coin is placed in a jar. At the end of the week, count the money in the jar. Use half the money for a family treat and decide as a family how you can use the other half of the money to bless others.
