Project Work Atoka Pump Station Rehabilitation Project, Oklahoma City, OK: Associate engineer for the Atoka Pump Station Rehabilitation Project to increase overall pump station and pipeline capacity from 60 MGD to 90 MGD. The Atoka pipeline extends over 100 miles lifting raw water up a total of 600 feet from Atoka Lake to Draper Lake. The project includes rehabilitation of 6 pump stations, including design and installation of 4 vertical turbine pumps, 20 horizontal centrifugal pumps, 24 VFDs and more than 139 large diameter valves. Significant planning and coordination between all parties required to reduce pump station downtime during construction. Performed as liaison for the field and office activities, which included coordination with the client, design team, contractor, prepurchase equipment vendors, and regulatory agencies. Semper Water Treatment Facility, Miscellaneous Improvements, City of Westminster, CO: Associate Engineer. Performed an alternative analysis of treatment facility improvements to upgrade the City’s lime feed system and sodium permanganate feed system. Final lime feed system improvements included retrofit design of the existing screw auger feed system and batch mixing tank, including modifications to piping, electrical, and I&C components. Final sodium permanganate system improvements included converting their tote feed system to a high concentration batch feed system. Project included relocating chemical feed pumps, and retrofitting new chemical feed and discharge piping and large FRP tanks. The project also consisted of evaluation of the trac-vac system. Assisted client in bid-phase services and construction phase services. Performed technical review of submittals and RFIs, site visits, attendance of construction meetings. Semper Water Treatment Facility, Vault No. 2 Rehabilitation City of Westminster, CO: Performed as assistant engineer to replace 2 large diameter control valves, as well as interior and exterior piping. Retrofit design posed engineering challenges particularly with electrical and structural rehabilitation. Comprehensive Performance Evaluation (Phase I), Norwood, CO: Project engineer. Activities included coordination and implementation of a water quality field-testing program, historical data evaluation, and assessment of the treatment plant processes to identify factors that were adversely affecting the plant’s turbidity removal and accelerating DBP formation. Conducted a Comprehensive Performance Evaluation to assist the Norwood Water Commission in evaluating the existing water treatment facility to identify opportunities for upgrades and improvements. Provided summary of findings, identified opportunities for improvements, and wrote a summary of recommendations and estimated costs in final report. Comprehensive Technical Assistance (Phase II), Norwood, CO: Project engineer. Performed upgrades to existing coagulation and sedimentation basins at the Norwood Water Treatment Plant. Assisted FEMA's emergency and disaster response resource needs for assessing damage to water and wastewater treatment facilities and producing project worksheets to obligate federal funds to eligible applicants per the Stafford Act and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 206 and Part 13. Responsibilities included coordination of multiple parties, including Federal, State, and local jurisdictions for the assessment of damage in emergency and disaster areas as declared by the President. Pilot Plant Services for Potable Water Treatment, Town of Black Hawk, Black Hawk, CO: Project engineer. Developed design criteria for alternative treatment processes to achieve the desired water quality goals, to develop capital and life cycle costs, and to perform pilot-scale and bench-scale demonstrations of selected treatment alternatives. Provided the City a basis of design for the Dory Hill Water Treatment Plant to permit, acquire, transport, and treat three raw water sources to double the treated water supply at Dory Hill in order to meet anticipated increases in treated water demand. Coordinated compliance activities among several agencies and within strict water rights permitting parameters. Comprehensive Plan Update, City of Durango, Durango, CO: Project engineer. Analyzed the City’s existing water treatment facilities and treatment capacity as part of the City’s effort to update an existing and outdated Comprehensive Plan and improve capacity for future demand.

Performed hydraulic study, conceptual design and final design for the rehabilitation of an existing sewer lift station. Grange Hall Creek Lift Station, City of Thornton, Thornton, CO: Project engineer. Assisted with the design of a 1.5 MGD sewer lift station to replace an existing 32-year old station that delivered wastewater to a Metro Wastewater Reclamation District interceptor. Project involved replacing an old station to create a safer working environment, increase station capacity, and ensure structural integrity in a corrosive environment. Project specifics include site design and analysis; pump selection, station configuration, and CDPHE coordination and permitting. North Raw Water Settling Ponds Preliminary Design, Clifton Water District, Clifton, CO: Project engineer. Assisted with layout, design, and geotechnical issues associated with construction of earthen settling ponds used to remove turbidity from the Grand Valley Canal, including outlet structures, and pipelines to transport the settled water to the WTP. Coordinated and completed compliance activities with various entities including the Grand Canal Company, US Fish and Wildlife, Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG), Colorado State Dam Safety Review, and State Engineers Office (SEO). Secondary Treatment of Filter Backwash Water, City of Fresno, Fresno, CA: Project engineer. Designed cutting-edge rapid filtration units to treat filter backwash water for the Fresno Surface Water Treatment Facility. Performed extensive hydraulic and mechanical coordination and design for the implementation of a complex and operator friendly automated system. Rapid filtration system includes the addition of polymer for coagulation prior to filtration and pump station to transfer filtered backwash water for return or agricultural use.
