Rev. Keith Fagerheim of the Covenant BPC mission in Springville, NY reports their June worship services averaged 31 in attendance and their Sunday School averaged 22. Armor BPC in Orchard Park, NY is the mother church and works closely with the Springville church. Covenant’s members recently joined in Springville’s Dairy Fest and made 60 contacts as well as using the opportunity to clearly present the Gospel. Almost all of the Springville core group used their various gifts and talents to help out with this year’s Dairy Fest. They handed out tracts, Bibles, and literature and invited people to worship with them. The new Zephyrhills BPC mission has now completed a month of worship services (Lakeland, FL BPC is their sponsoring church). Their Sunday schedule includes Sunday School and a morning Worship Service followed by a fellowship meal. Eighteen people make up their core group and on their 1st Sunday they had 37 in attendance. To learn more please look on the internet: Zephyrhillsbpc.org. The church is now meeting in a private home and Pastor Steven Brinegar has asked that we pray for them as they search for a public meeting place. Also pray that the contacts they have already made will become a part of their fellowship and that their outreach program will bear fruit. Rev. Brinegar also seeks your prayers for his growth as a pastor.

Team Timothy USA Lends a Hand in Knoxville “Everyone would like to thank PMU and all who participated in helping, supporting, and praying for this ministry,” wrote Eric Pastorek, of the Knoxville church. “It’s amazing what the Lord can accomplish with hearts willing to do His work. Praise be to our God for the mission work of Team Timothy USA as they ministered during the week of June 12-16 at Vacation Bible School. It was an exciting time of outreach for our young people at the church. The theme of the VBS was “The King is Coming.” “During the week the team was able to minister in numerous ways such as teaching, drama, crafts, recreation, and Scripture memorization. Prince Alexander and Joey were the
characters in a skit played by Pastor Jerry Gardner and Eric Pastorek. During this time the children were introduced to the theme of the day in a fun and exciting way. The Team Timothy group who came to work at VBS were an immense help. Pastor
Stephen Johnson of the Columbia BPC taught the truths from God’s word as he
led the main Bible lesson for each day. Mrs. Becky Blizzard assisted with crafts and snacks. Memory verses with sign language was taught by Sharon and Anna Blizzard from the Cape Canaveral BPC. Many from the church came out to help as well. We truly had a royal feast with the work of Betty and George Rule. Following this we did crafts, taught by M r s . Sherry Nichols and recreation with participation from all the Team. Katherine Peters assisted with decorations and Linda Gardner was able to help set the pace and tone of teaching the hymns and music. (continued on back)
Presbyterian Missionary Union is a non-profit missions agency associated with the Bible Presbyterian Church. Our purpose is to advance the cause of missions that are biblically based and practiced and to stand against any compromise of the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. PMU is directed by a Missions Council of Christian leaders who volunteer their time to guide the ministry. To learn more about missions opportunities through PMU, or to learn more about the BPC please contact us. The Missions Banner is published ten times a year and is distributed without cost to interested individuals and churches. It seeks to promote the clear stand of the BPC by providing a biblical perspective on issues, fads, and theories in missions and church development. Our Editor is Len Pine, and our Publishing Coordinator is Tito Lyro.

George Turley helped with all the areas around the church that needed constant attention and other church members gave financial and material contributions. “Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ for raising up such a united Team and allowing us to be faithful with the task that we were given.
SERVING THE LORD WITH JOY
Pray that all the children who attended will yield good fruit for the Lord. Also, pray that a solid children’s ministry will be established and that many in the community will become interested in the ministries of the Knoxville BP Church.”
The Paauwes and a BPCWA Team Travel to Esperance Dr. Ed Paauwe and Lehia recently traveled to a town on the south coast of Western Australia. Esperance is about 450 miles from Perth and the purpose of their trip was to encourage the folks at the Windabout Lakes Christian Church and be of help to them. Five others from the BPCWA (Bible -Presbyterian Church of Western Australia) joined the Paauwes on the trip to Esperance—an all-day drive, mostly on two-lane country roads. The group enjoyed warm fellowship with Pastor and Mrs. John Barlow and the Windabout Lakes church members. Ed preached at the worship service and the team presented two special songs. Sunday afternoon one of the team members participated in evangelism and other team members visited in the homes of some of the church families. Now back in Perth, Ed and Lehia continue with their varied ministries at the BPCWA. Evangel Bible Institute begins a new semester on August 2, 2006 and Rev. Paauwe will teach New Testament Survey. A video course on Crisis Counseling by Dr. Jim Berg of Bob Jones University will be presented and the Greek students will continue their studies. Ed and Lehia are thankful for your faithful prayers and support ED AND LEHIA PAAUWE for their ministry in Perth as well as for their travels to other Esperance, Western Australia churches and youth camps throughout Australia. Pray, too, for God’s protection and blessing on their son Daniel. In August he will be deployed to Iraq for one year.
THE B OLIVIA TEAM ARRIVES HOME! Tired? Oh,yes. Grateful to be going home? Absolutely. Hungry for pizza? For sure. Looking forward to sleeping in your own bed? Can hardly wait. But, despite the joy of knowing you will soon be home with family and friends, there is an odd ‘tug-of-war’ going on in your heart… a quiet sense of loss in leaving behind brothers and sisters in Christ with whom you’ve prayed, toiled, and worshipped. Team Timothy is now back in the USA and are eager to tell the story of their ministry in Bolivia. The Lord blessed this team in many ways as they saw their months of preparation result in the working of God’s grace in the hearts of Bolivians. Through preaching, teaching, music, games, crafts, and simply sharing the love of God, the Team returned home with a sense that the Lord had, indeed, blessed their efforts to encourage and help Pastor Quisbert in the La Paz BPC. There is much to tell and the next Banner issue will have the complete story and plenty of photographs. You will also be able to view the Banner in color by going to the PMU website.
