Modena Munselle Hill Pounds

Modena Munselle Hill Pounds, 72, passed away Monday, April 14, 1997, in San Angelo. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with the Rev. Roy South of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Grape Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Pounds was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Thrifty, Texas. She married Oscar Lee Hill in 1941, and they had eight children. She later married Berry Pounds in 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband and five children, Ronnie Carol Hill, Carolyn Sue Hill, Shirley Jean Hill, Jerry Dean Hill and Larry Lynn Hill. She is survived by her two sons, Jackie Lee Hill and Kenneth Wayne Hill, and her daughter, Sharon Kay Rushing; her mother, Ida Rutledge Stratton; two sisters, Irene Taylor and Joyce Reese; two brothers, John Munselle and Lee Munselle; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
