On June 23,2004, commission staff~,.M~oo'A'~ Cordero and Q$.n John Tamm identified Jim Rantz and his wife Alicia'RantZ' as references/associates li$l~ by both Yajaria Ruiz and Iyed .~eiwesli'h1 an apartment rental application for the] I I [which are located"atl ICalifornia. On that same day, Cordero contacted Jim' Rantz at his place of employment, Mercy Hospital, telephone numbed fwhere he is employed in the Environmental Services Department. Corderd [assigned to the 9-11 Commissioner and asked him whether he knew Iyed Khreiwesh and Yajaira Ruiz. Rantz advised that he did know them, describing as good friends. Cordero asked Rantz whether he knew whether Ruiz and Khreiwesh were married. Headvised that he thought that was a personal question which they should answer. After explaining to Rantz that we (the commission) were interested in the people attending the ceremony, he advised that he did not know whether they were married, but described them as very close and intimate. Rantz could or would not provide additional information. 9/11
