WHO WE ARE? F R I E N D S

O F H A I L E Y P A R K is a group of park users & local residents dedicated to improving Hailey Park, Llandaff North. We formed in May 2007. WHAT DO WE DO? We work with the council, police, schools & local representatives to improve all aspects of the park, e.g. safety, education, & to provide better facilities. It is an excellent way of meeting local people & bringing the community together. WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT? We need a park with good facilities that users want. A strong membership is vital, so users views are represented. A large membership is useful when attracting grant monies. WHAT CAN YOU DO? You can do as little or as much as you like. Become a member; have your say & influence decisions at meetings; take part in events; or even sit on the committee. It’s up to you! SOME OF OUR ACHIEVEMENTS Held monthly meetings, weekly litter picks, painting out graffiti on changing rooms, increasing police patrols on the park, refurbished bowling pavilion & started regular informal matches again for all the family, installed a notice board, improved & increased seating & litterbins, carried out path maintenance & ongoing regeneration of the meadow, nature events for all ages, cycle safety event, heritage walk & MUCH MORE. Keep up to date online with the meadow regeneration & other events on the park at http://meadowlife-haileypark.blogspot.com In association with Cardiff Council
