Meeting Turkey Report This year Poland is not taking part into our Comenius Project, so we have arranged the meeting dates again. The calendar will be: 2008-2009 Italy: From 23rd to 27th of March. Norway: from 15th to 19th of June. 2009-2010 France. Northern Ireland Catalonia. As you know France didn´t assist to the meeting, we decided Àngels would call Nathalie to confirm the meeting dates. Calendar We will build the calendar along 2009 and it would consist in two parts. One part will be about the days of the month and the other one it would appear a picture taken always in the same place that shows how the landscape changes along the seasons. In the picture it would appear the children dressed up according to the weather. The name of the month and the days of the week will be written in six languages: English, Turkish, Catalan, Italian, French, and Norwegian. Below every picture each country will write a saying on its mother tongue and then in English. On the bottom of the calendar there will be the name of the project, the logo and the sponsors. Catalonia will create a scheme of the calendar which will be sent to every partner so everyone could arrange it and/or give their opinion. The calendar will be ready at the end of October of 2009, so we need to take a picture at the very beginning of December which we will use it for November. We will take the picture belonging to December at the end of the month, and so on at the end of the each month. Every school will decide how many copies they will need and when the design gets ready Turkey and Catalonia will look for the cheapest place to print the copies.

Blog Blooger is accepted. Categories 01. WHO WE ARE Every school will add a picture of their schools buildings with a short description about themselves (about three lines). There is also the option to locate the school and the area in Google Maps. We can also add a picture of the pupils for the presentation with a short text. (Another possibility would be adding a video). 02. WEATHER There will be 4 parts: a. A graphics where the little children will write the total number of the days which are sunny, cloudy, sunny and cloudy, rainy, and snowy. The children will report every day this information about sun, clouds, sun and clouds, rain, snow and then at the end of the month they will add the information in the graphics. b. A graphics where the old children will write the average details of the weather report. The children will report every day this information about temperature: minimum and maximum; rain (in ml.), snow (in cm.), number of sunny hours and notes where children can write something special like atmospheric phenomenon for example a tornado or a big storm. c. Pictures with brief comments about these atmospheric phenomena from each place. d. Experimentations with the pupils related to the weather like checking the humidity through the hair, panel constructions, etc

We will report the details every single day even if it’s not a school day. Each school will add the information at the end of every month.

03. FOOD On the next meeting all the partners will bring different proposals to work on the food and we will decide what to do all together. If we’ve got time enough we will add pictures of traditional Christmas food from each country. Calendar We will mark the important events of every country on the calendar, for instance the first day that Norway sees the sun, the teacher’s day in Turkey… and the meeting dates.
