Corporate Health and Safety Policy The Council's Health and Safety Policy complies with the legal requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, to prepare and revise as necessary, a written statement with respect to the health and safety of employees and others who may be affected by the activities or operations of the Council. A copy of the most recent Policy Statement should be displayed on all premises health and safety notice boards. The Health and Safety Policy should be communicated to all employees; everyone should have an understanding of their health and safety reponsibilities and be made aware of the organisation and arrangements in place for health and safety within the Council. A powerpoint presentation has been developed as a resource for managers to communicate this important information to employees. All documents can be downloaded from this page.
