To, Shri Kalyan Singh Ji Honorable Governor, Govt. of Rajasthan Jaipur Subject: Inviting to visit Akshaya Patra mid-Day Meal Kitchen in Jaipur Dear Sir,

I am pleased to invite you to visit our mid-day meal kitchen operations at The Akshaya Patra Campus in Jaipur. The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a non-profit charitable trust dedicated for serving the cause of under privileged children. The mission of The Akshaya Patra Foundation is “No children in our country should be hungry. And hunger should not be an obstacle for education.” Madhu Pandit Dasa, Chairman of The Akshaya Patra Foundation has been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri. The award has been conferred in recognition of the distinguished service rendered by Akshaya Patra for the children of India.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation began providing mid-day meals to under privileged children in government schools in and around Bangalore city in the year 2000. The programme has scaled up subsequently in the last 16 years. We are feeding more than 15 lacs children in 24 different parts of India every day. This has made tremendous impact on the various attendances, concentration and enthusiasm in learning has improved. We started our program at Jaipur in November 2004 and presently we are serving for about 150,000 students in 1436 schools. From the decentralized kitchens we are serving 20,200 children from 102 villages in Baran District. In Nathdwara we are serving about 30000 Children. We have started our centralised kitchen in Jodhpur from July 2013 where we are serving meals for more than 10000 children daily. On 16th July 2016, Akshaya Patra has signed MOU with GoR to start centralised kitchen in Ajmer district to feed more than 20000 children under midday meal program.

To support Swach Bharat Mission we at The Akshaya Patra Foundation have taken some initiatives towards environment safety. We will support in developing plantation at various parks of Jaipur city. We will supply regular water to these park for watering the plants and along with this we will also work towards developing and maintaining green valley on deviders of roads of the city.

We have got support from donors of the city to acuquire machineries for this environmental friendly initiative. We look forward your gracious presence to inaugurate this initiative from our kitchen premises.
