OBJEKTIF / OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson the students should be able to :

Explore the QWERTY type keyboards and its arrangement sections. Discuss the functions of a mouse & touchpad. Discuss what an ergonomic keyboard is. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of keyboards, mouse & touchpad.

METHODS OF INSTRUCTION Greet students and ask some questions related to today’s lesson, What are input devices? LESSON DEVELOPMENT: ➢ On the IWB show the QWERTY keyboard picture and explain the sections etc. ➢

Discuss the advantages & disadvantages of keyboard.

➢

Show some ergonomic keyboards’ pictures for students’ understanding.

➢ Then explain mouse and touch pad and its advantages and disadvantages. ➢ Show pictures of mouse and touchpad. Home activity: Ask the students to look around different kinds of keyboard, mouse and touchpad. TEACHING AIDS/MATERIALS: Computers, SPN 21 Notes, IWB, Power point slides.
