Latest Issue The Best Corporate Social Responsibility Award This year, thirteen local enterprises were granted “the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Award?by the Fourth Corporate Social Responsibilities Award hosted by Global Views magazine. Global View magazine has also announced league table of CSR 50 among Taiwan listed companies for the first time. In summary, according to this year’s appraisal result, the average score of the listed companies in Taiwan was 66.33, slightly higher than score of 62.16 last year. 34.2% of enterprises have set up CSR departments. 90% of the enterprises have been promoting energy-saving and reduction of wastes in their offices. Approximately 70% of enterprises pay more attentions to CSR performance of their upper stream and down stream suppliers. In addition, around one third financial institutions have included environmental protection achievements or the labor and capital relationship in their list for evaluation when extending credit facility to those enterprises. Obviously, domestic listed companies, regardless of manufacturers, electronic companies, or even financial institutions, put more efforts in implementation of CSR. Besides, they are not limited to environmental protection issues, interaction with community residents and improvement of labor and capital relationship have also become keys to the enterprises for promotion of CSR.
