Facility Assessment
A. Heating System Description:
The existing system for the entire complex is a gas fired hot water system. The boilers were installed in 1983 and 2004. A limited portion of the complex is equipped with air conditioning. Typical classrooms are equipped with a 2 pipe ventilator system that will not permit simultaneous operation of the boiler and chiller units. District officials noted the facility’s conditioning requirements have been difficult to manage during moderate temperature cycles.
Rating:
3 Needs Replacement
Recommendations:
Provide for complete replacement of the entire heating, ventilation, and cooling system throughout the entire complex due to condition and lack of proper ventilation and air conditioning. Convert to a fully ducted system to conform to OSDM standards and current ventilation requirements.
