Police Investigate Shooting Police are investigating a shooting that occurred today behind 216 D Street in Lake Wales. At this time one person has been hospitalized and detectives are working to collect evidence and identify those responsible. Police are searching for a black Dodge Charger with no license plate visible in connection with the shooting. Witnesses reported the vehicle was occupied by four black males last seen traveling north from the area. This case is currently under investigation and more details will be released as the case progresses. Anyone with information concerning this case is urged to their local law enforcement agency or Polk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226 TIPS (8477). You may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward.
