THE PATRICIA HART LIFELONG LEARNING CENTER FACILITY USE POLICIES

The first priority of The Patricia Hart Center is to provide programs and services for its members and guests. The staff will strive to make your event a safe, positive experience. Only the Center Director may approve facility use applications. The Patricia Hart Center reserves the right to terminate any event without notice for any reason. Please assist us by observing the following policies: •

Set-Up: All set-up must be done within the rental period. This includes deliveries of flowers, cakes, linens, dinnerware, equipment, etc. Exceptions must be arranged in advance with the Center Director. All catering and decoration plans must be submitted in writing and approved by the Center Director. Furnishings in the Lobby may not be moved or altered. No food or candles are allowed in the Lobby. Absolutely NOTHING is to be attached to any walls, windows or furniture, regardless of the material used. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the building or on the premises, including the parking lot, without the prior written permission of the Center Director. If permission is granted, a licensed bartender must be hired by the Licensee and must be on site during the rental period. A copy of the bartender’s license must be attached to the contract. No smoking is allowed anywhere in the building, including the restrooms. All exits must remain clear in case of emergency. No animals are allowed in the building with the exception of service animals. An adult must supervise children at all times. Children will not be allowed to run or wander through the building. All persons are to stay in the areas designated under the Contract. NO ONE is to enter offices, classrooms or other areas not included in the Facility Use Application and Contract. The responsible person(s) under the Contract is to oversee the conduct of all persons in attendance. Parking is on site only. No parking on the street or in adjacent lots is allowed.

PATRICIA HART LIFELONG LEARNING CENTER ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES POLICY

No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the building or on the premises, including the parking lot, without the prior written permission of the Center Director. The use of alcoholic beverages (champagne, wine, beer) by parties or individuals using the Patricia Hart Center under a Facilities License Agreement shall only be permitted within these guidelines: • • • • • •

The licensee is responsible for all actions of guests. Alcohol should only be used responsibly. The licensee is responsible for designating non-drinking drivers when needed or to call a taxi service if necessary. The licensee is responsible for adhering to all state and local regulations governing the consumption and serving of alcoholic beverages. The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages must be served with the accompaniment of substantial food (a meal or heavy hor’doerves). Alcoholic beverages must be served by a licensed bartender at least 21 years or older who is in attendance at the bar at all times. The bartender must be named on your event worksheet and a copy of the license must be attached. Champagne fountains and beer kegs are prohibited. No alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the premises or taken from the premises by guests. Alcoholic beverages may be served or consumed only during licensed hours. Beverages must be served in a glass or cup. Drinking from cans or bottles is prohibited. ALL BARS MUST BE CLOSED ONE HOUR BEFORE THE END OF THE EVENT. Patricia Hart Center personnel have the authority to close a bar at any time if deemed necessary for the safety of guests and protection of the Center.

After Hours: Monday through Friday Saturday Sunday

After hours usage requires a minimum reservation of four hours. Building usage fees are calculated from the time the first person enters the facility until the last person leaves. Rental time includes decorating and clean-up. The Multi-Purpose Rooms A, B, Vinson (C), Library, and Lobby may be reserved depending on availability and charges will be quoted. 1 – 100 persons $ 200.00 101 – 200 persons $ 500.00 201 – 300 persons $ 750.00 Damage Deposit will be returned within 45 days after the license date if the facility is left in order and all policies were followed. Licensee is responsible for any and all damage inside and outside the facility during the usage period.

This application will NOT be processed or approved if information is incomplete or inaccurate. No dates can be contracted without an Approved Facility Rental Application. This is not a legal contract and is not binding to either the Applicant or the Patricia Hart Center of SCI. DO NOT make any advance arrangements regarding facility usage until a contract has been fully executed with The Patricia Hart Center of SCI. This includes disseminating or releasing any information or publicity of any nature in regard to the event including, but not limited to, the offering of tickets or reservations.
