A. COMPANY PROFILE A wholly owned subsidiary of Ebara Corporation. Ebara Pumps Philippines, Inc. (EPPI) formerly Ebara Benguet, Inc. was incorporated in March 1991 as a pioneer in the manufacture of Corrosion Resistant Austenitic Stainless Steel Castings. EPPI plant facilities and main office are located in Canlubang Industrial Estate, City of Cabuyao, Laguna. In 2003, EPPI was authorized by EBARA CORPORATION to market and sell EBARA standard pumps and related after sales service in the Philippines. Ebara Pumps Philippines, Inc., has an extensive global network with Ebara Group’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies located throughout the world. EBARA also has wellestablished manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe and the Americas. B. METHODOLOGY USED IN THE STUDY To assess the job of white collar, the evaluators used questionnaire to collect certain kinds of information, to support and to supplement other procedures for evaluating. For the blue collar job, interview was used investigate issues in an in depth way, discover how individuals think and feel about their job. C. SOURCE OF INFORMATION D. Staff General Manager None Engineering Department

Location Cabuyao, Laguna

Engineering Department staff, support the engineers of the company or organization, assuring that their operations run efficiently. The Staff handles much of the external communications, answering phones, responding to voicemails and emails and greeting customers. Often responsible for answering customer questions and concerns and directing them to the appropriate employee when necessary. Enters various data and completes paperwork such as expense reports, purchase requisitions, processes payments, tracks deliverables and receivables and assists with budget tasks and other data entry jobs.

Delivery Management 1.1 Ship data control for customer 1.2 Receiving order management (Include preparation before order receive from customer) 1.3 Internal production progress management (Casting - Machining - Assembly - Test - Shipment) 2. Scheduling 2.1 Monthly Schedule (Create when ordered received) 2.2 Weekly Schedule (Create about 1 month before assembly) (Includes: Parts preparation, Witness test, etc…) 2.3 Daily Schedule (Assemble - Shipment) 2.4 Sales (Demand) & Operation meeting 3. MRP 3.1 MRP operation 3.2 PR request (Production request and Purchase request) 4. Production order creation 4.1 Parts picking list 4.2 Issue machining request for Casing flange and big size impeller 5. Warehouse management 5.1 Inventory counting organization/ management 5.2 Inbout/ Cutbound management by routine. (Include receiving report creation) 6. Shipment management * Issue invoice is GO’s duty 6.1 Shipment order 6.2 Packing order 6.3 Shipment processing, Sales processing 6.4 Issue packing list 6.5 To determine packing specification

3b Working Environment/Special Circumstances

Communicating to the manager and co-workers is essential to do the job effectively. In order to place an order it is depend on the request of the customers. The staff should have a direct contact with the suppliers to acquire price quotations for the materials needed. Checking the inventory is important for the staff to know the lack of supply. Physical skills or efforts required is not needed. The job entails to talking, listening, walking to different department. There is no exposure to heat or any potential harm. The company offers benefits and leave credits. The company cafeteria features different kinds of food. The office itself features natural and good lighting. The organization is environmentally aware by recycling.

The tasks is often have specific purpose. Priorities and deadlines on quotations and purchase orders should be strictly observed. Recording of inventory should be on focus. The quality of the work of staff can be determine if the materials ordered arrived before expected timeline. If there is ship out it should be reported to the general manager of the department. Difficulties will mostly encountered is in inventory management, when the truck arrives and there is not enough space for the products. It also occurs when the suppliers did not deliver the orders in time. This could impact the production that will lead to down times due to the delay of materials.

Qualifications to do to the job  Proven work experience as a Staff Assistant, Administrative Assistant or similar role 

Knowledge of office



Computer literacy (MS Office in particular)



Familiarity with office equipment (e.g. printers and fax machines)



Knowledge of labor laws



Excellent organizational skills



Strong verbal and written communication skills



Professionalism while collaborating with varying managerial levels



BS degree in Business Administration or any related course

6. Behavioural Competencies Staff should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, highly organized, and attentive to detail. In order to successfully support the department, they must be able to manage multiple priorities and once, solve problems, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They should be reliable individuals who are always willing to help.

Line operator administer all operation and ensure efficiency of all production equipment. Ensure operation of all equipment and maintain safety and evaluate all work and maintain accuracy. Administer all production flow and collaborate with supervisor to identify all process and equipment issues. Put all labels and molds. Monitor all shape molds and assist to clean out all dies. Perform regular inspection for all hazards. Assist to clean up facility for all production lines clean up by and ensure compliance to all housekeeping standards.

Being adaptable, is an effective communicator and compassionate are just some of the traits that employers look for in candidates. Emphasizing hard skills alone is not the limit, it must include the personality traits developed at home, at church, or in pursuing interests.
