Another way to say “if” is with -えば. どうし
動詞:Replace the final う with えば. 例:食べる→食べれば;行く→行けば けいようし
形容詞:Replace the final い with ければ. 例:新しい→あたらしければ;ない→なければ For example: この薬を飲めばよくなる。
If you drink this medicine, you’ll get better.
To express regret that you had not done something, use –えばよかった. For example: もっと勉強すればよかった。
I should have studied more.
