Hypothesis: I think that if I listen to music before/while studying, then I will have better grades. Experimental Design Controlled Variables: 1. Number of students in each room 2. the age of the students 3. The gender of the students 4. The type of test they will take 5. The article they will read Manipulated Variable: The music the students will listen to before/while studying the given article. Responding Variable: The average scores of each group after taking the quiz Materials Needed: 1. 10 Students 2. 2 Rooms (50 meters apart) 3. 1 Radio 4. 10 Papers and pens 5. 10 Articles 6. Tables and Chairs 7. A Prepared Quiz Procedure: 1. Divide the students into 2 groups. 2. Take each group to their specified rooms. 3. Let the students read the given articles for 30-45 minutes. 4. While one group is studying, let the radio play. 5. After the given time, let the students take the test for 30 minutes. 6. After the quiz, record the score of each student in each group. Take the average of each group’s score. Compare the 2 average scores.
