TITLE : USING BIOMASS AS AN ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF ENERGY SHORT BACKGROUND ABOUT THE PROJECT : This study of using biomass as a substitute for the fossil fuels, the leading material that produces energy, was proposed to find out if it is feasible to produce energy from other forms of materials without harming the environment A.

shavings) B. PROCEDURE * This is the basic and simplest illustration of the actual procedure that is used on the actual machine 1. Use dry wood shavings taken from a furniture shop. 2. After 5 minutes of heating with a high setting, a white gas began to emit on the end of the tube. 3. The end of the tube is placed on the fire of the alcohol lamp hoping to produce fire. 4. Again, the fire on the alcohol lamp became low. 5. The heating process continues for a minute but it is more indirect from the source of heat and white smoke disappears. 6. The end of the tube is placed on the fire of the alcohol lamp hoping to produce fire but nothing happened. 7. The alcohol lamp was set again to its first setting for another a minute and observed that there is no whitish gas emission. 8. The end of the tube is placed on the fire of the alcohol lamp 9. Fire produced.
