BIODEGRADABLE FERTILIZERS AND NON-BIODEGRADABLE FERTILIZERS Problem: Which kind of fertilizer will make plants grow faster and healthier? Hypothesis: I think that if I will put biodegradable fertilizers, then the plants will grow faster and healthier. Purpose: To determine which kind of grow faster and healthier 

Experimental Design:

Responding Variable: growth speed of the plants Manipulated Variable: kind of fertilizers (biodegradable and non-biodegradable) Controlled Variable: amt. of water, type of soil,10 mongo seeds, no. of seeds, type of seeds

 Materials Needed: 10 mongo seeds Soil Water Biodegradable fertilizers(banana peelings, animal’s manures) Non-Biodegradable fertilizers(straw cutouts, plastic) Procedures: 1. First, plant 5 mongo seeds on the soil where there is sunlight. 2.Next, apply or put biodegradable fertilizers. 3.Sprinkle water to the seeds. 4.then, start planting another 5 mongo seeds on a place where there is also sunlight. 5.Apply, non-biodegradable fertilizers. 6.Water them also. 7. Observe and record. 8.Continue on watering the plants. 9. After several weeks, observe and record again.
