2. Overall Description 2.1 Product Perspective The proposed system enables the company to eliminate cheating as well as save time during the company election. This automated election process provides the constituents the convenience in voting since all they have to is to vote in their network places. This would allow administrators to have a secured and swift election process.

2.2 Product Functions The proposed system will provide the following major functions: Employee: •

View Candidates’ Profile



Vote



Log out

Administrators: •

Log in



Check or view automated tallied results



Print out results

2.3 User Classes and Characteristics Employee: •

Has the ability to vote for their chosen candidates

Administrators: •

Has the ability to view the election results

2.4 Operating Environment The Election System is targeted for the Windows PC environment and should have XAMPP (Mysql and PHP) software.

2.5 Design and Implementation Constraints One of the constraints of the system is that the system needs the connectivity to the centralized server. The company’s computers should also have XAMPP software and the network devices must comply with TCP/IP. For the administrator, he can only view and print out results but cannot edit or delete information. The administrator’s pc must have the hardware and software supports required for the regulation of the system. For the employees, he can only vote and view candidates’ profiles but cannot view election results.

2.6 Assumptions and Dependencies •

The system relies on the employees’ access capabilities to the system



The system relies on the employees’ concern to the given privilege to suffrage since not all of the employees has the required interest of voting, making the election system useless



The system relies on the candidates’ authorization for their profile which will serve as one of the basis for the voter’s choice of candidate



The system relies on the administrator’s access capabilities to system
