FLOPPY DISK

• The first types of storage devices . • It can hold up 160 KB to 1.44 MB of data. • It has limited storage, limited use and very easy to lose or damage. • We use removable storage devices to store or save our data. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------BACK

PORTABLE HARD DISK

• It is possible to store more data compare to a floppy disk. • We can save videos, movies, games, songs, pictures with this device. • We use removable storage devices to store or save our data. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------BACK

CD-ROM

• A CD-ROM is round in shape. • We can save up to 700MB data (for e.g. Songs, pictures, and games application – XboX, Nitendo, PSP). • We use removable storage devices to store or save our data. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------BACK

DVD is also round in shape. We can save data up to 4.7GB, more than a CDROM. We need to have a DVD player to play it. We use removable storage devices to store or save our data. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

• It is also called a flash drive, thumb drives, USB drive or memory stick. • It can hold up data from 512MB to 8GB. • We need to plug it into USB port of a computer or laptop. • We use removable storage devices to store or save our data.
