A RESOLUTION By the Houghton County Democratic Party on Health Care Reform Whereas the Houghton County Democratic Party believes that all Americans are entitled to quality health care; Whereas this health care should be affordable, accessible, and non-discriminatory; Whereas a single-payer health care plan operated by the federal government would be most cost effective; Whereas a single-payer plan would be available to all individuals; Whereas this plan would allow patients to have access to their choice of health care providers, Be it therefore resolved that the Houghton County Democratic Party endorses and supports a single-payer health care system for all Americans. BY UNANIMOUS VOTE AND ENTERED IN THE MINUTES OF THE HOUGHTON COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY’S REGULAR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING IN HOUGHTON COUNTY, MICHIGAN, THIS FIRST DAY OF JULY, TWO THOUSAND AND NINE, IN HOUGHTON, MICHIGAN.
