Growing Pains When I thought that I might fall, a hand was there... And I felt so tall! Standing there, beside him then I knew I’d go, where I’ve never been. He taught me things, no one else could know... The things that since have helped me grow. At once a god, then just a man but first I crawled, and then I ran. I ran to see what I could see... And set aside what he’d said to me. I tripped, I fell, I made mistakes. But being young, there were more I’d make. I’d get back up and on I’d run... Forgetting who had taught, how it was done.
