COURSE DIET Every week consists of 24 blocks periods. Your week will be divided as follows: • 8 blocks – Math/Science • 8 blocks – English/Social Studies • 2 blocks – Physical Education • 2 blocks – Modern Language • 2 blocks – Compulsory Exploratory (Drama and Art) • 2 blocks – Elective
HOMEBASE PROGRAM • One of your Core teachers (English/Social Studies or Math/Science) will also be your Homebase teacher • Takes place on Monday and Friday each week as well as three Wednesdays a month • Conducts team building activities, service learning and other fun activities to help you make friends and get actively involved • Discusses topics relevant to being in Middle School eg: having positive relationships

WHAT IS A CLASSROOM WITHOUT WALLS? • •
An experiential learning program which is closely linked to ISM’s mission and vision for learning. Consists of two experiences during the school year: 1. Overnight (September) Team Building
2. Week Without Walls (February) Team Building, field work, outdoor challenges, health and social education, community and service learning.
