Jesus is misquoted as saying that you should forgive your enemies. What Jesus really said is that you should eliminate your enemies. You may need to make peace with an enemy for awhile in order to gain a strategic advantage, but you can never really forgive an enemy. Forgiving an enemy violates Natural Law. We are all bound by the Law of Karma, that is, Cause and Effect. If your enemy hurts you, your enemy in Justice must pay the price for hurting you. This is required by the Natural Law Principle of Proportionality. As it is stated in the Old Testament, “An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.” You can only forgive another in Equity when there is no adequate remedy at law. This is rare, and is only applied by persons, typically, in favor of their children, and maybe your parents, and no one else. A person who intentionally hurts another, must pay the price for this.
